Third seasonal Management Council for the FIM Europe On 15th December the last seasonal Management Council was held through Zoom Video Communications platform. The complete Management Council, President, 1st and 2nd Deputy Presidents, Treasurer, Vice-Presidents and Secretary General, the latter supported by the General Secretariat Coordinator and by the Responsible of the Sporting Department, have drawn up this year's profile so heavily conditioned and afflicted by the COVID-19 emergency. Martin de Graaff, FIM Europe President “In the usual time of the year the meeting of the Management Council took place, like we are used to do it this year by Zoom. The important issues were discussed by the Management Council, necessary points at the end of 2020, a year which we will remember a long time. The preparation of the General Assembly, also remotely, from Geneva was an important item. It is the first time to organize a General Assembly in this way.

FIM Europe second Sporting Commissions Meetings Second meetings session for the Sporting Commissions. As in the previous date, this second commissions’ meeting did not take place in Fiumicino due to the Coronavirus outbreak and members met each other with Zoom Video Communications platform in order to discuss the current season and future prospects. Once more, the virtual meetings were also attended by the FIM Europe President Martin de Graaff, the 1st Deputy President Michal Sikora and Paola Bianchetti and Silvia D’Amico, responsible for sport matters in the office. FIM Europe first Sporting Commissions Meetings First meeting session for the Sporting Commissions. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, this time the commissions did not meet in Fiumicino as in previous years and so this weekend virtual meetings were held with Zoom Video Communications platform in order to discuss the current season and future prospects. Despite the impossibility of physically interfacing, the virtual meetings were also attended by the FIM Europe President Martin de Graaff, the 1st Deputy President Michal Sikora and Paola Bianchetti and Silvia D’Amico, responsible for sport matters in the office. 2020 EMX Championships Update Following the big success of the Latvian stops of EMX and the support received, EMX continues to look forward to more epic races this season and therefore FIM Europe and Infront Moto Racing would like to reveal the most recent updates to the 2020 EMX Championships racing calendar. Following the evolution of COVID-19 restrictions and the difficulty of travel, the decision has been made to postpone to 2021 the GP of Turkey in Afyonkarahisar, originally scheduled on the 5-6th of September. Instead, following the success of the Latvian triple-header, the European Championships will anticipate the event in Faenza, Italy, for three epic Grand Prix races with the MXGP of Italy on the 5-6th of September, the MXGP of Città di Faenza on the 8-9th September and the MXGP of Emilia Romagna on 12-13th September. FIM Europe Enduro & Rally Commission News It’s with great regret that FIM Europe and the Enduro & Rally Commission have to announce the cancellation of the Tout Terrain Rally event in Romania scheduled on September 13th. This is a tough decision taken by the promoters and the organizers, following the increasing epidemic situation of Covid-19 in Romania and the numerous travel restrictions to enter and depart from the country. All the incoming riders should have to go quarantine for 14 days when entering in Romania and then again when returning to their country. The events in Greece and Portugal are still confirmed: click here to go directly to the 2020 calendars. FIM Europe's priority is the total protection of the riders, organizers, public and all the staff involved in the events.

FIM Europe Vintage Commission News Vintage Road Racing Croatia’s Grobnik circuit will host the only remaining event of the 2020 European Vintage Road Race calendar. The meeting will be held over the weekend 18th – 20th September in Rijeka. Free practice will start on Friday followed by races on Saturday and Sunday. Supplementary regulations and entries will be available shortly on the FIM Europe website. ICGP races will also be held at the Grobnik meeting. This will be the first ICGP race since Valencia in March after which the season was interrupted by Covid 19. Vintage Endurance Cup There will be a Vintage Endurance race at Italy’s Misano Circuit on 9th-10th October. As this is the only Vintage Endurance Cup event of 2020, the race will decide the 2020 Vintage Endurance Championship. First seasonal Management Council for the FIM Europe with Zoom Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and the emergency situation in all the European countries at different times, the FIM Europe had to cancel the FIM Europe Congress 2020 originally scheduled in Prague from 2nd to 4th July 2020. In order to continue all the activity, the first seasonal Management Council meeting took place yesterday 03rd July in a virtual way with Zoom Video Communications platform. Martin de Graaff, FIM Europe President “Exactly on the date of the cancelled Congress in Prague, the Management Council could have a Zoom-meeting, having the chance to discuss important topics on the agenda. All reports were sent to the participants one week before this meeting. The federations will receive these together with the minutes of this meeting, including the reports. 2020 European Championships Cancelled Calendars Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it is with great regret that FIM Europe has to announce the cancellation of the following 2020 European Championships: • Trial European Championship • Enduro European Championship • EMX 65/85 European Championship • EMX Women European Championship • Sidecarcross and Quadcross European Championship • Cross Country Cup • Motoball • European 250 Youth Speedway Cup This is a tough decision taken by the promoters and the organizers, following government regulations, even if the initial aim of everybody was to postpone all the programmed races. FIM Europe's priority is the total protection of the riders, organizers, public and all the staff involved in the events. 2020 World Environmental Day Dear FIM Europe members, this year the theme chosen to celebrate the World Environment Day on June 5th is biodiversity. Biodiversity is the great variety of animals, plants, fungi and microorganisms that make up our planet. It seems superfluous to remember the importance of biodiversity for the balance of life on our planet. Thanks to this balance are guaranteed food, clean water and in general all the fundamental resources for our survival. It’s therefore necessary to pay great attention to the impact of our activities on the environment to ensure that the earth, thanks to its unique characteristic of regenerating and adapting to changes, can continue to fulfil its task of ensuring life for all living beings that populate it. The world of motorcycling does not escape from this general rule and therefore must do everything to carry out its activity with respect for the environment
