European Sidecar Championship: Markus Venus and Markus Eibl take the 2024 title Markus Venus and Markus Eibl led home a thrilling domination to win the 2024 European Sidecar Championship with a decisive performance in Uithuizen, in The Netherlands. Contested by fourteen teams from seven different countries, the series saw its hard-fought Final after the Qualifying Round held in Germany at the beginning of August. With a large audience of over 2.000 spectators excited for the challenge and the four legs of qualifying heats, with only German rider Markus Venus and his passenger Markus Eibl being unbeaten, all the expectations of a great show were accomplished. The other two favorites, Mitch Godden and Paul Smith from Great Britain and  Germans Markus Brandhofer and Sandra Mollema, both dropped valuable points in their early heats. European Sidecar Championship: Valladon/Fourcade ruled the QR Bad Hersfeld in Germany hosted the QR of the European Sidecar Championship. 13 teams from 5 different countries were prepared to battle for 6 spots in the Final. The best on the track was the French team lined up by Remi Valladon with passenger Dylan Fourcade. European Sidecar Championship: Markus Brandhofer and Sandra Mollema are the new 2023 Champions Pictures copyright: Ubbo Bandy The Final of the European Sidecar Championship took place in Bad Hersfeld, a nice town in central Germany in a picturesque setting in a wooded valley, on the outskirts of the town. Great job done by the staff of the MSC Bad Hursfeld, that worked extremely hard to ensure the event was completed, despite the bad weather that threatened to jeopardise the whole event. A good crowd of approximately 2,500 people of all ages eventually witnessed a great evening’s racing, but the meeting itself was delayed due to a heavy downpour of rain, just as the riders came out to be presented to the crowd. European Sidecar Championship: QR in Loppersum won by the Meier’s Loppersum in the Netherlands was the venue for this Sidecar qualification round. 11 teams were prepared to battle for 6 spots in the final. Under very hot summer condition 2300 spectators saw very good and exciting action on the track. 12 qualification heats provided the line ups for the 3 finals. Manuel Meier with passenger Melanie Meier went directly to the final with 10 points. He was joined in the final by Markus Brandhofer and passenger Sandra Mollema, who also racked up 10 points. The B final provided the other 2 teams to the A final, Danish/German pair of Mike Frederiksen and passenger Desiree Holstein together with French pair Rémi Valladon and passenger Dylan Fourcade. Sidecarcross & Quadcross of European Nation: USA take Quad honours and Netherlands retain Sidecar title Sensational USA and Netherlands at doubled up at Sidecarcross & Quadcross of European Nation in Kramolin, in the Czech Republic. Quad Race One (Groups A/B) Precisely on time the gate dropped for the opening quad race. Joe Maessen from team Netherlands grabbed the holeshot from Kevin Saar and Chad Wienen third at the end of lap one. The grid was huge and the pace fierce as team USA’s Wienen went ahead on the second lap. It was another surprise ride by the Belgian Randy Naveaux. He was flying ahead of Saar, with Bryce Ford scrapping with Harry Walker for fourth place. Kramolin prepares for end of season team event! It’s back to Kramolin in the Czech Republic this coming weekend for the annual Sidecar and Quadcross of Nations tournament, and there is a real sense of excitement ahead of the event. The EMX Quad regulars are welcoming the all-conquering USA team back to do battle, whilst the FIM Sidecar Cross field includes the newly crowned 2022 Champions Etienne Bax and Ondrej Cermak. There will be a warm homecoming for the Czech passenger, celebrating his first world title. European Sidecar Championship: Markus Venus and Markus Eibl victorious in the Netherlands After the first event of mid-August in Germany, the last round of the European Sidecar Championship was raced in Eenrum, the Netherlands. A very competitive event with close racing. After the first heat, the teams placed 10th to 5th competed in the B Final, with the winner Wilfred Detz (KNMV) and second place Guillaume Comblon (FFM) joining the team placed 1st to 4th in the A Final. The final was always going to be a close fought affair, but at the end of four laps of hard racing Germans Markus Venus and Markus Eibl won ahead of the British team with Mitch Godden and Paul Smith and Wilfred Detz and Wendy Arling taken third place on the podium. European Sidecar Championship: qualifying round in Germany A very hot day in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, welcomed the qualifying round of the European Sidecar Championship. The race started in the evening and thanks to the great work done by the Moto Club the track was in good condition and the race had hard-fought battles.  The final was won by the couple Sven Holstein/Natasja Bartlett at the end of a nice battle with German riders Markus Brandhofer and Sandra Mollema, who finished third due to a problem to the engine just in the last corner. Immanuel Schramm and Frank Schiemer took the occasion to finish second. The Final is scheduled on 28 August in Eenrum, in the Netherlands. Final classification: 1. Sven Holstein / Natasja Barlett 2.
