Cross Country European Cup: Finlad round crowns Cup Winners Second and final round for the Cross Country European Cup near Lathi, Finland, with the crown of the Cup winners. A route of 17 km (9 km for Quad) with a typical Finnish ground waited the riders: sand, gravel and stones etc. For quads the track was 9 km long. The races took place in good weather conditions with just a couple small rain showers. In Quad 2x4 class the winner was the Lithuanian Gediminas Volkavicius, who is also the Cup Winner ahead of his county man Renatas Jegorovas. Quad 4x4 class was a real show of Hegri Sutt from Estonia, who is the new European Cup Winner with maximum points. Cross Country European Cup: 2022 season is started! The first of the two scheduled round of the Cross Country European Cup took off last weekend in Kalvarija, Lithuania. Over 180 riders joined the competition, that took place together with the National Championship. Bikes category Four classes and winners. Lithuanians Dziugas Kazakevicius won in Junior class, Nerimantas Jucius in Open and Mila Veverske in Woman category. The Finnish rider Mika Karma ruled the Senior. Quads category In Quad 2x4 Renatas Jegorovas from Lithuania won building over one minute lead over Gediminas Volkavicius and Miroslaw Wojnowski. In Quad 4x4 victory for the Lithuanian Hegri Sutt. Cross Country Cup: open-door race in Lithuania   The city of Kalvarija, Lithuania, located in the Marijampolė County close to the border with Poland, hosted the Cross Country Cup on Saturday 1st May. 43 riders from six countries -Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia- faced an open-door race of 10 km with a sunny weather. The race day started with the Open EU Class: Nerimantas Jucius (Husqvarna) from Lithuania was the first one to cross the finish line ahead of Tanel Rauk from Estonian and Dmitriy Parshin from Russia. Džiugas Kazakevičius (GasGas) from Lithuania won the Junior Class and home rider Danielius Žostautas the Senior Class. In the Woman Class the Estonian Krissu Konoplitski (KTM) had the best; second position for another Estonian rider Jane Ilves and third place for Violeta Nedzinskaitė from Lithuania. Cross Country Cup: last round in Estonia The second and last event of the Cross Country Cup was raced on 12th October in Paikuse, Estonia. The track was 7 km long and mostly soft and sandy with mud and roots too. Motorcycle riders raced for 2 hours, while quad riders for 1 and a half hour and the rain made the fight even more challenging. 2020 Enduro & Rally European Championships Provisional Calendar The FIM Europe, together with the Enduro & Rally Commission, is proud to release the 2020 European Championships Provisional Calendar. Enduro Four rounds for the Enduro European Championship. The season starts in Italy and keeps on with the second round in Hungary, back to the championship after many years. Then is the time for Poland and finally for Czech Republic. 1. 4th-5th April 2020 – Castel di Tora, Italy 2. 16th-17th May 2020 – Ber, Hungary 3. 27th-28th June 2020 – Kielce, Poland 4. 8th-9th August 2020 – Plasy, Czech Republic   Superenduro Three rounds together with the World Championship. The season opens in Poland in December and continues in Germany and Hungary. 1. 7th December 2019 – Krakow, Poland 2. 4th January 2020 – Rieza, Germany 3. 1st February 2020 – Budapest, Hungary   TT Rally Four rounds rocks the season.

Cross Country Cup: the first round in Finland Last weekend riders from six countries (Sweden, Finland, Chech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania and Russia) came to Lahti, Finland, for the first round of the Cross Country Cup The track was located in Vesivehmaa Airport and was made of two different routes: one for Quad and one for motorbikes participants. The race day started with the Quad competition. Valtteri Vainionpaa from Finland finished first in front of the Estonians Viinapuu Raido and Vanker Tamur. Unfortunately, motorbikes race was with just one lap because of the race had to be interrupted as rider Antti Pendikainen lost the control of his bike and died at the accident site. Tragic accident in Cross Country European Cup in Vesivehmaa, Finland On Sunday the Cross Country European Cup opening round in Finland had to be interrupted as a result of a serious accident in the first half of the three-hour race due to a serious accident. Rider Antti Pendikainen lost the control of his bike and died at the accident site. The organizer set up an investigation commission that is investigating about, but motorbike’s technical problems are excluded. The FIM Europe takes part in the loss and the full sympathy goes out to his family. Mr Martin de Graaff, Acting President “It’s unfair to have lost Pendikainen in fatal accident. I wish to present the family and friends on behalves of the Management Council our sincerest condolences”.

European Cross Country Cup at Tofta Skjutfalt Gotland (Sweden)

The Swedish round of the European Cross Country Cup took place at Tofta Skjutfalt Gotland and saw the participation of 3085 riders from 19 Countries. The weather conditions were not pleasant - only 2 degrees and a strong wind (20 meter per second), plus rain. The race could be held regularly thanks to the work of 200 volonteers. Photo credit: Kalle Lundstedt/Race Magazine All the riders had to face 3 hours ride. The winner was Albin Elowson, the only rider who started the 7th lap (in photo3). All the other riders made 6 laps or less (the track was 22 km long). Albin Elowson took home this year's Gotland Grand National. It was the first Swedish victory since 2010 at Tofta. "I do not know what to say. It's unreal, it's like a dream. At last I showed what I can do», stated Elowson, who was really nervous in the brutal conditions.

European Cross Country Cup in Latvia

FIM Europe Cross Country Cup at Madona (Latvia) gathered 19 participants from five Countries - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Finland. The two hours Cross Country race in Madona was not easy for many riders. The track was interesting and technical, and the riders after the race said they were satisfied with today’s race and track conditions. During the race they had to fight with forest trails, steep uphill and downhill and other obstacles. The track was unusual for competitors and suprised even many of the spectators who came to watch the race. Ugis Klimons from Latvia was the first to cross the finish line winning in Senior class ahead of Dmitriy Parshin (RUS) and Riho Keerme (EST). In the Veteran and Woman Classes Danielius Žoštautas (LTU) and Marita Nyqvist (FIN) won the Cross Country Cups. In the Junior Class Daniel Komkov (RUS) had to surrender to the supremacy of
