The FIM Europe Management Council and Auditors met for the first time this year on Friday 12th and 13th April 2024 at the General Secretariat in Fiumicino. The Internal Audit outlined the 2023 year with positive results. The Management Council discussed sporting and beyond-sporting matters and faced financial issues, approving the budget to be presented for approval to the General Assembly in July at the 2024 FIM Europe Congress. Sad passing of Peter Hansen

Sad passing of Peter Hansen It is with deep sadness that the FIM Europe has to announce about the passing of Peter Hansen, member of the Motocross and Snowcross Commission since 2010. He tragically passed away on the weekend of April 6 after a short time of illness. Peter has been a long-time volunteer in DMU’s Motocross Commission and FIM Europe, holding the office of vice-president  of the Motocross and Snowcross commission from 2011 until 2022. He was a member of Sønderborg Motor Club and he got into the motocross sport and DMU when his son started racing years ago. With Peter's passing, the FIM Europe family loses a great and dedicated volunteer. We’ll all miss his kindness and efforts. The open version can be downloaded here, while the full edition is available in the reserved area of the FIM Europe website. In the table of contents, the welcome from the FIM Europe President Michal Sikora, the story, the organization and the structure of the FIM Europe, as well as info about International and National Organizations, Federations and Regional Associations. Sad passing of Uwe Petzold The FIM Europe is saddened to inform about the passing of Uwe Petzold, member of the Motocross and Snowcross Commission since 2017. Uwe tragically passed away last night. He was passionate about all aspects of motorcycling and worked for a long time with the German Federation as a member of the MX Commission. His passion for motocross saw him become a DMSB-Academy instructor for MX officials. As part of the FIM Europe family, Uwe was an active member of the Motocross Commission, working with professionalism and dedication. Issue #04 of FIM Europe Magazine now online!   The FIM Europe is glad to announce that the FIM Europe Magazine issue #04 is now online! The last issue of the year closes the quarter with the last races of the season, celebrating the 2024 champions. From the Institutional point of view, for the first time the Sporting and Beyond-Sporting Commissions’ Meetings took place together in Rome in late November. In the occasion also the FIM Europe Management Council met at the General Secretariat in Fiumicino. We took the occasion to remember Massimo Sironi, who has been part of the FIM Europe Family from 2008 to 2018 as member of the Vintage Commission.
