Semi-Final 1 Individual Speedway EC in Chervonograd

The Individual Speedway European Championship started this weekend with the first Semi-final held yesterday in Chervonograd (Ukraine). The winner of the Semi-final was Danish rider Leon Madsen in front of Russian Roman Povazhny and Latvian Maxims Bogdanovs. Semi-final 2 of the Individual Speedway European Championship is scheduled on the 1st of May in Debrecen (Hungary). Superstock 600cc European Championship in Aragon

As several protagonists of the past season stepped up to Supersport World Championship and numerous young talents from European Junior Cup (including 2012 Champion Lukas Wimmer) and national championships arrived, the European Superstock 600 Championship gets underway with a new mix of riders ready to fight over the 9 rounds in calendar. Close racing was the main factor of yesterday’s first race of the year at Alcañiz MotorLand Aragón. Pole man Gauthier Duwelz (MTM Racing Yamaha) gets a hard-won victory after a breathtaking 10-lap race on the 5344 m Spanish venue. It's the maiden win for the 19 year old Belgian, who was able to take advantage of the tough four-way battle behind him, eventually making a small mistake towards the end of the race that allowed his rivals to close the gap down to 1 second. Results of the first round of the RR Hill Climbing in Austria

The first round of the Road Racing Hill Climbing European Championship was held this weekend in Landshaag (Austria). The winners of the different categories were the following: Moto3/125GP: Christopher Eder (AUT, KTM) 250cc Open: Pierre Favre (FRA, Yamaha) Sidecar: Oliver Dichamp/Vincent Peugeout (FRA, LCR) Superbike: Ossi Niederkircher (AUT, Suzuki) Supermoto Open: Juergen Schoenleitner (AUT, Husqvarna) Supersport: Luca Gottardi (ITA, Kawasaki) Superstock 600: Jan Luc Papaux (SWI, Suzuki) Superstock 1000: Christian Zeiser (AUT, Ducati) Next round is scheduled in Imperia (Italy) on the 16th of June. The RR Hill Climbing European Championship is back !

Joe Genoud, former Swiss rider and great enthusiast of uphill competitions, after the success of last year of the « Joe Genoud Challenge », decided to extend his reach by becoming the promoter of the RR Hill Climbing European Championship. The agreement was reached with FIM Europe for the next three years with the objective to revive this championship, which saw its last edition in 1975. This year edition will be divided in 4 rounds: Landshaag (Austria) 13-14th April Imperia (Italy) 15-16th June Châtel-St Denis (Switzerland) 29-30th June Villers-sous-Chalamont (France) 20-21st July The organisers of the first round in Austria received registrations for more than 200 riders, as a further demonstration of the interest surrounding this initiative. In front of such an enthusiastic response, Genoud expressed his maximum satisfaction and confirmed all his efforts to give a new live to this, often neglected, discipline. Results of the Road Racing European Championship final in Albacete

Great day of motorcycling today in the Spanish track of Albacete, where was held the Road Racing European Championship final. The weather was warm and sunny and the event was held with perfect organisation. Carmelo Morales (Superstock 1000), Jordi Torres (Supersport 600) and Matteo Ferrari (125GP/Moto3) are the new 2012 European Champions, while the Junior titles went to Alberto Santamaria (Superstock 1000) and Angel Poyatos (Supersport 600). Extremely well fought was the Superstock 1000 race with Spanish dominion and with the three-times European Champion (2008, 2009, 2010) Carmelo Morales (SPA-Kawasaki) who, starting from third position behind Adrian Bonastre (SPA-Suzuki) and Xavier Fores (SPA-BMW), managed at the 7th lap to take the lead and to keep it up to the end despite the attacks of the 2011 Champion Ivan Silva (SPA-Kawasaki), who managed to do a spectacular return from 8th position. Preview of the Road Racing EC in Albacete

After a long qualification phase for the riders to get access to the final, the interest is growing for the final act of the Road Racing European Championship that will be held next Saturday and Sunday in the Spanish track of Albacete. 108 are the riders registered to the event in the three classes (125 GP-Moto 3, Supersport 600 cc and Superstock 1000 cc.). This is a further demonstration of the kind of attraction that this event is catalysing, in particular among those riders that aspire to demonstrate to be ready to move and compete to higher level categories with more challenging targets.
