The fifth round of the UEM 600 Superstock European Championship was held on the 30th of June 2012 at the Motorland Aragon track in Spain. It was very well organized event held together with the World Superbike Championship. The race was stopped during fifth lap due to crash of the rider No. 88 M. Marchal. The race restarted with 6 laps and victory went to Championship leader Italian Riccardo Russo (Yamaha), second Dutch Michael Van der Mark (Honda) and third Belgian Gauthier Duwelz (Yamaha). Today was held also the fourth round of the KTM European Junior CUP. The race was won by Spanish Javier Orellana, overtaking the second Austrian Lukas Wimmer just before the finish line, and at the third place was Spanish Christian Vidal. The provisional rankings see the leadership of Russo in the Superstock 600 with 106 points and of Orellana in the KTM Junior with 46 points.

The Italian track of Misano Adriatico hosted this weekend the Superstock 600 cc. European Championship, held yesterday, and the KTM Junior Cup and the Two Countries Cup, held today The 4th round of the Superstock 600 cc Road Racing European Championship was held yesterday at Misano World Circuit (Italy). The race was won by the Dutch Michael Van der Mark (Honda) in front of the Italian Riccardo Russo (Yamaha). The leader of the Championship Russo tried to obtain a considerable gap during the early laps, but Van der Mark who is in the second place in the general rankings was able to keep up with him and overtake him at previous lap to the last. From that moment on a fair but at the same time thrilling battle took place until the chequered flag was waved. The Race was won by the Dutch rider and Russo arrived in second position

The Chernovograd (Ucraine) track hosed yesterday the 1st of June the Semi-Final 2 of the Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. The victory went to the Polish rider Kacper Gomolski, who imposed himself on the Ukrainian Kiril Tcukanov and Lativan Andrejs Lebedevs. The Semi-Final 3 is scheduled on the 7th of July in Holsted (Denmark). The Semi Final 2 of the Team Speedway Junior European Championship was held at Opole on 7th June 2012. The winner was the Danish team, and together with the Polish team second classified will participate to the Final scheduled the 8th September 2012 in Landshut (Germany). The meeting was very well organised by the KZ Kolejarz Opole and there were some very exciting heats with fair fights of junior riders. (UEM Press Release 61/2012)

For the fifth consecutive year, the Circuit of Albacete will set the stage for the UEM European Championships to be held on the 6th and 7th of October 2012. The contest, organized by the UEM and RFME, will give an opportunity to win European titles in the Moto3TM/125GP, 600 Supersport and Superstock 1000 categories. In addition that weekend there will be junior titles awarded in the first two categories for entrants aged 20 years and under. As in previous years, the top five national champions of Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Netherlands are entitled to participate. Also permitted will be the top four Champions of Nordic, Eastern Europe and the Alpe-Adria region. The first Semi-final of the Individual Grass Track European Championship was held yesterday in Antigues de Lussac (France). Victory went to home rider Stephane Tresarrieu, followed by Czech Ales Dryml and British Glen Phillips. Next Semi-final is scheduled for the 3rd of June in Bielefeld (Germany). The first round of the Supermono European Cup was held yesterday in the track of Assen (The Netherlands). The winner of the race was Austrian Josef Frauenschuh (KTM). Next round is scheduled on the 1st of July in the Redbullring at Spielberg bei Knittelfeld (Austria). (UEM Press Release 42/2012)

The first round of the TTXGP Euro Championship, dedicated to electric bikes, was held yesterday in the Swedish track of Falkenberg Motorbana. The winner of the race was German racer Matthias Himmelmann on electric bike developed by Muench Racing. Next round is scheduled on the 8th of July in Snetterton (Great Britain). The second Semi-Final of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held yesterday in Rivne (Ukraine). Five riders + one reserve qualified for the Finals, where eight riders can reach the 4-final series in which the 2012 Championship will be crowned. Victory was taken by the local hero Oleksandr Loktaev who won the race with maximum points. Second place was reached by Robert Miskowiak, Poland and after a run-off 3 place was reached by his fellowman Michal Szczepaniak, Poland. A good crowd of spectators have seen a very good meeting, well-organized by the local club and without any accidents. The first Semi-Final of the Individual Speedway JuniorEuropean Championship was held today in the German track of Pfaffenhofen. The winner was Polish Piotr Pawlicki, followed by Czech Eduard Krcmar and Vaclav Milik.
