Northern Talent Cup: thrilling beginning at the Cathedral of Speed The TT Assen was the perfect venue for the first seasonal race of the Northern Talent Cup, racing with the Superbike World Championship. Race 1 Antoine Nativi (Racing Nativi Team) won the first Northern Talent Cup race of the weekend in Assen, his maiden victory in the category. The Frenchman was fastest ahead of polesitter Thias Wenzel (Kiefer Racing) and local hero Jurrien van Crugten (BB64 Academy) in the wet race interrupted by a red flag.

The NTC grid were all on wet tyres, but without Kyano Schoo (KS-Racing) and Delano Greven (DG Motorsport), both Dutchmen having failed to meet the minimum qualifying time, so it was just 22 drivers who started the thirteen-lap race.

Moto2 European Championship, ETC and Stock: opening round at Misano World Circuit The curtains finally lifted on the 2024 Moto2 European Championship, ETC and Stock in the Motor Valley and Emilia-Romagna round at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, and the Championship opener delivered on everything it promised with stars old and new shining throughout. The first Moto2™ European Championship race of the 2024 campaign saw Alberto Surra (Team Ciatti – Boscoscuro) claim first place with an accomplished ride. Meanwhile, in the first of the day’s two European Talent Cup races Giulio Pugliese (Aspar Junior Team) took victory in dramatic fashion. In the second, Marco Morelli (MLav racing) sealed an emotional first win in the class since 2020. Northern Talent Cup: 2024 provisional calendar The FIM Europe is happy to inform that the provisional calendar for the 2024 Northern Talent Cup has been revealed. It’s a whole new era of competition as the Cup welcomes Honda as the single manufacturer and Pirelli as tyre supplier, in line with much of the Road to MotoGP™. A pre-season test will start the action at Oschersleben before 7 rounds, 14 races. The season is set to kick off at the classic TT Circuit Assen alongside WorldSBK, as is becoming NTC tradition. From there the Cup heads for the Sachsenring, Oschersleben and Most alongside the IDM, before a second round at the Sachsenring alongside MotoGP™ at the German Grand Prix. From the biggest sporting event in Germany, the NTC will head back to the TT Circuit Assen, this time alongside the IDM, before the season finale at the awe-inspiring Nürburgring. Registration is

The Moto2™ European Championship saw Senna Agius (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact Junior GP Team) sign off in style with victory from P17 on the grid, whilst European Talent Cup honours went to Guido Pini (AC Racing Team), although it was Maximo Quiles (Aspar Junior Team) who clinched the crown. Stock European Championship competition ended the day with David Muñoz (SP57 Racing Team) taking a fifth win of 2023. Moto2 The title had already been secured by Senna Agius at Aragon but he faced a different challenge in the final Moto2™ ECh race of 2023.
