Superstock 600cc European Championship and Junior Cup in Monza (Italy)

The third round of the Superstock 600cc Road Racing European Championship and the European Junior Cup were held this weekend in Monza (Italy). The competition was held under difficult weather conditions between 6 degrees and 22 degrees. In addition, the weekend was both rain and sun. Both classes had very fine sporting results and there was fighting between many riders. EC Superstock 600 was marked by rain throughout the whole race. The start of the EC Superstock 600 was delayed 45 minutes after viewing the 3 minutes of the sign due to rain at the back of the field and then it developed to the whole track and race were publicly as "Wet Race" and shortened to 9 laps. The winner was Italian Nicolas Jr Morrentino (Yamaha), followed by Italian Luca Salvadori (Yamaha) and Italian Manuel Tatasciore (Yamaha). FIM European Junior Cup was played with very close competition, 10 drivers

The winner of the Semi-final was Croatian rider Jurica Pavlic in front of Polish Robert Miskowiak and Danish Hans Andersen. Superstock 600cc European Championship in Assen (The Netherlands)

The second round of the Superstock 600cc Road Racing european Championship and the European Junior Cup were held this weekend in Assen (The Netherlands). The competition was held under difficult weather conditions between 6 degrees and 22 degrees. In addition, the weekend was both rain and sun. Both classes had very fine sporting results and there was fighting between many riders. EC Superstock 600 had a very exciting conclusion with 5 riders who finished within 1 second. Belgian Gauthier Duwelz (Yamaha) confirmed the victory of Aragon, followed by Australian Adrian Nestorovic (Yamaha) and Swiss Bastien Chesaux (Honda). FIM European Junior Cup was played with very close competition where the winner, the Dutch Bo Bendsneijder (Honda), was not found between 1 drivers in the final corner before the finish line. The Semi-Final of the European Pairs Speedway Championship was held yesterday in the Hungarian track of Miskolc. The winners of the Semi-Final were the Polish riders (Puszakowski and Ulamek) in front of riders from Slovenia (Matic, Conda and Pecnik) and Czech Republic (Milik, Franc). Close racing was the main factor of yesterday’s first race of the year at Alcañiz MotorLand Aragón. Pole man Gauthier Duwelz (MTM Racing Yamaha) gets a hard-won victory after a breathtaking 10-lap race on the 5344 m Spanish venue. It's the maiden win for the 19 year old Belgian, who was able to take advantage of the tough four-way battle behind him, eventually making a small mistake towards the end of the race that allowed his rivals to close the gap down to 1 second. The RR Hill Climbing European Championship is back !

Joe Genoud, former Swiss rider and great enthusiast of uphill competitions, after the success of last year of the « Joe Genoud Challenge », decided to extend his reach by becoming the promoter of the RR Hill Climbing European Championship. The agreement was reached with FIM Europe for the next three years with the objective to revive this championship, which saw its last edition in 1975. This year edition will be divided in 4 rounds: Landshaag (Austria) 13-14th April Imperia (Italy) 15-16th June Châtel-St Denis (Switzerland) 29-30th June Villers-sous-Chalamont (France) 20-21st July The organisers of the first round in Austria received registrations for more than 200 riders, as a further demonstration of the interest surrounding this initiative. In front of such an enthusiastic response, Genoud expressed his maximum satisfaction and confirmed all his efforts to give a new live to this, often neglected, discipline.
