FIM Europe Weight Training Workshop in Graz (Austria)

The FIM Europe has organized, in collaboration with the European Weightlifting Federation, a Weight Training Workshop, reserved to FIME FMNs Trainer. The Workshop, with only 15 places available, will be held in Graz (AUT) at the Hotel Paradies from 14th to 16th February 2014. Presenter will be Colin Buckley - EWF Education Department – member of the European Weightlifting Federation Executive Board, managing the EWF Weightlifting for Sports development program. He is a Coach educator and author of Coach Development manuals and resources. The Workshop programme includes the following topics: The benefits of Weight training for the rider Health & Safety and equipment selection Postural Analysis and Functional Movement Screen The importance and role of Anatomical Adaptation Weight training and the young rider Principles of Training Designing a warm up program Over Reaching and Over Training/Periodisation Designing sample programs Participation in the Workshop and full board accommodation will be free

FIM Europe Workshop on Leadership in Maggiora (Italy)

The FIM Europe has organized a Workshop on Leadership addressed to the leader of the Executive Staff of its FMNs: the Secretaries General. The Workshop took place on 23rd and 24th November 2013 at the Motocross Circuit of Maggiora (Italy). Participation and accommodation was completely free of charge for all participants thanks to Maggiora Park and Youthstream, which allowed to organize this important workshop without providing costs for the FIM Europe and the participants of our FMNs. The Workshop gave to the participants the opportunity to spend together two days being able to discuss, in the free moments, issues of mutual interest in the field of FIM Europe, as well as having a moment of personal and professional growth. 2014 Edition Road Racing European Championship in Albacete (Spain)

FIM Europe, in agreement with Dorna, RFME and the Direction of the Albacete Circuit, defined the date of the 5th of October 2014 for the single event of 2014 Road Racing European Championship on the Spanish track for the following classes: Moto 3, Supersport 600cc. and Superstock 1000cc. To the event will be admitted the first 5 riders in the corresponding national championships of Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands and Italy and the first 4 riders of regional championships (Nordic, Alpe Adria and Eastern Europe) for each class. There is also the possibility to participate to riders with Wild Card, whose request should be presented to RFME in the terms defined by the event rules. Supercross European Championship in EICMA Milan (Italy)

Amazing European Supercross Championship edition. The stages around the EICMA MotoLive track were full of people who attended to the races of the unique round which has assigned the titles to the 2013 European champions. The organization has signed another perfect edition of the SX Series Championship which has been rich of emotions for the several fights during the competions.. SX1 – Zack Osborne (Honda RedMoto) has been the dominator of the day. The fastest and the skilled rider of this racing day. He won both Finals with a large gap in front of all the other riders. Second is Angelo Pellegrini (Honda Racing World Motocross) and third PJ Larsen (Honda MBTeam). Last day of the Enduro European Championship in Ourem-Fatima (Portugal)

The Italian Maurizio Micheluz became three times European Enduro Champion: on the last day of the final in Ourem / Portugal he achieved the triple. He not only won the E1-class and the overall title, but was in the three days with the Italian Trophy also European team-champion! Together with Andrea Beconi, Mirko Gritti and the E3-European Champion Gianluca Martini, they won ahead of Britain and France. Tom Sagar needs no win in the E2-class too: He made the third place in the race behind his British countryman Jamie Lewis and the French Romain Dumontier. So he took the title in front of Italian Andrea Beconi. Even Jessica Jönsson from Sweden did not win the final cross: with the second place behind her rival, the Finn Sanna Karkkainen, she took the title in the women’s class. Final Round of Superstock 600cc Road Racing EC and Junior Cup in Jerez (Spain)

Last rounds of the FIM European Supersport 600 and Junior Cup was settled in Jerez Spain in good weather with no problems. Both classes have evolved into a good sporting success and there was in both classes many battles for position. In the Superstock class, victory of British Kyle Smith (Honda) in front of Italian Franco Morbidelli (Kawasaki) and Italian Alessandro Nocco (Kawasaki). Thanks to the second position Franco Morbidelli became the new 2013 European Champion. In the European Junior Cup, victory of New Zealand rider Jake Lewis in front of Spanish Augusto Fernandez and British Josh Harland. The winner of the 2013 Euopean Junior Cup is Jake Lewis. Second day of the Enduro European Championship in Ourem-Fatima (Portugal)

Three new Enduro Champions were crowned on the second day of the Enduro European Championship finals in Ourem / Portugal. The track was made even more difficult by the nightly rains, so same passages has to been bypassed again. But the drivers where happy, that the distance of four had been shortened to the laps at least. In the Juniors-E2/E3-class the local hero Diego Ventura won the championship title with a second place behind the Swedish rider Tommy Sjoström. After Ventura already destroyed a radiator on the stage, his team slowed him down and let him drive safely. Not so safely continued the Italian Gianluca Martini: nevertheles, the Beta-Pilot finished the day in second place behind his countryman Mirko Gritti. This was not only the result in the E3-class, which made Martini an European Champion, it was also the result in the “Overall”! Both riders had led the field through

First day of the Enduro European Championship in Ourem-Fatima (Portugal)

For the first time in this year, a local rider wins the overall-classification at the European Enduro Championship. Luis Oliveira from Portugal won in front of his countryman Diego Ventura and the English rider Tom Sagar. Fourth became Italian rider Gianluca Martini in front of his countryman Maurizio Micheluz, the leading man in the championship. Junior Ventura won also his class and is on the way to the title. Same with Tom Sagar in the E2-class, who made a bigger gap in the championship. Only winner Oliveira is in the class and in the overall-championship behind Micheluz and cannot become champion by himself – only if Micheluz will make a serious mistake. The PATA European Junior Cup confirmed also for year 2014

The PATA European Junior Cup, dedicated to young riders from 14 to 19 riders on Honda CBR 500 R bikes, will be repeated also next year again in 8 round to be held in conjunction with European events of the Superbike World Championship. This year edition had moments of high interest and the next Sunday on the Spanish track of Jerez will be assigned the 2013 title, with three riders Jake Lewis, Robin Anne e Augusto Fernandez divided by only 5 points. FIM Europe President, Vincenzo Mazzi, declared: “It is good news that the PATA European Junior Cup is confirmed also for 2014, after the success of this year.
