The FIM Europe 80cc Youth Speedway European Championship was held this weekend in Elgane (Norway). After the two Semi-Finals, which saw the victory of Danish Patrick Hansen (followed by Danish Mad Hansen and Norwegian Lasse Fredriksen) in the first and Danish Fredrik Jakobsen )followed by Danish Jonas Jeppsen and Danish Jason Jorgensen) in the second, was held the final round that saw again the dominance of Danish riders with the victory of Jason Jorgensen, followed by Fredrik Jakobsen and Sam Jensen.   (FIM Europe Press Release 120/2013)  

The Speedway European Championship - SEC Final 2 was organized in Togliatti, Russia in the beautiful "Anatoly Stepanov Stadion" of Mega Lada club. The meeting was perfectly organized and surrounded by sunny weather as well as ideal track conditions. The stadion was completely "sold out" and more than 15.000 spectateurs have been part of an unforgettable speedway night. After 22 exciting and dramatic heats, victory was taken by the local hero Emil Sayfutdinov and runner up was Nicki Pedersen, Denmark. On the third place was Grigory Laguta, Russia who had a very strong meeting as well. The whole event was broadcasted live in Eurosport all over the world and was a massive advertising for the speedway sport. The provisional rankings see the leadership of Sayfutdinov with 27 points, closely followed by Pedersen with 24 points. The sixth round of the Superstock 600cc and the 5th round of the Junior Cup were held this weekend in Silverstone (Great Britain). A shortened Superstock 600 Race 1 at Silverstone was won by Alessandro Nocco (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) as the Italian rider leading when the red flag came out on lap number seven, after the collision that involved Swiss Bastien Chesaux (EAB Ten Kate Junior Honda) and Gauthier Duwelz (MTM-MVR Racing Yamaha), causing the Belgian to crash on the main straight. As the final results were based on the positioning at the end of lap six, Christian Gamarino (Team Goeleven Kawasaki) scored an incredible podium finish - and best career result so far - ahead of Chesaux and Franco Morbidelli (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki). The Mini Road Racing European Championship started on Friday the 02nd of August on the AMZS Center Varne Vozne in Vransko (Slovenia) with the free practice and the first qualifying and yesterday with the second qualifying and race one and race two. The final race was held today. All the event was held in extremely hot weather conditions, sunny 39° and no wind. The first final of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held yesterday in the Polish track of Gdansk. The winner of the first round was Russian Emil Sayfutdinov, second position to Danish Nicki Pedersen and third British Tai Woffinden. The next round will be the second final of the Individual Speedway European Championship and it will be held in Togliatti (Russia). (FIM Europe Press Release 107/2013)  

The fourth and last round of the Road Racing Hill Climbing European Championship was held this weekend in Villers sous Chalamont (France). The final of the Grass Track Individual European Championship was held today in Bielefeld (Germany). The winner of the final was Dutch rider Jannick De Jong in front of fellow countryman Dirk Fabriek and German Richard Speiser. (FIM Europe Press Release 102/2013)  

Hot temperatures welcomed all riders at this weekend’s Honda NSF 100 Cup in Cheb in Czech Republic. Already during the qualifying sessions it was Filip Salac who headed the time sheets. Behind the pole sitter there were only two thousandths between the runner-up Kevin Orgis and Peetu Paavilainen on third position. Also in the first race Czech Filip Salac was unstoppable on his home circuit. He was followed by German Kevin Orgis, who could save the second place by one second just in front of Finnish Peetu Paavilainen. The second race showed a smooth copy with the same trio in the same order on the podium. The next races take place on Saturday and Sunday 3rd and 4th of August at Vransko, (FIM Europe Press Release 101/2013)  

This weekend held the second round of the FIM-European European Cup of Nations in Russia, in the Moscow Raceway track, with the presence of 5 FIM European nations. Winner of the race was Spanish Dakota Mamola (Yamaha), followed by Ukrainian Ilija Mikhalchik (Honda) and third Italian Giuseppe De Gruttola (Yamaha). The event closed in reasonable weather and good participation in sporting success and a very good exciting race. Next round is scheduled on the 1st of September in Nurburgring (Germany). The second Semi-Final of the Grass Track Individual European Championship was held in Noordwolde (The Netherlands. Winner was Dutch Jannick De Jong in front of French Mathieu Tresarrieu and Dutch Dirk Fabriek. The Final of the Individual Grass Track European Championship is scheduled on the 21st of July in Bielefeld (Germany). (FIM Europe Press Release 93/2013)
