Cancellation of the Road Racing event in Albacete

The FIME has received the communication from the Circuit of Albacete cancelling the Road Race event envisaged for October the 5th. The reason for the annulation of the event, as well as the impossibility for it to be held for the years 2015-16-17, is due to the decision of the consortium of the Albacete Road Racing Circuit, which has approved its financial scheme in the following years. Semi-Final 2 Individual Speedway EC in Krsko (Slovenia)

The Semi-Final 2 of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held today in Krsko (Slovenia). 1500 spectators watched an impressive meeting., with 2 additional heats for reserve place and for 1st , 2nd and 3rd place. The unhappy man of the night was a home hero Aleksander Conda who broke a collarbone after winning his first heat. Qualified riders are: Maksims Bogdanovs, Przemyslav Pawlicki, Andriy Karpov, Jurica Pavlic, Hans Andersen, and the reserve is Daniel Nermark. Semi-Final 1 Individual Speedway EC in Dougavpils (Latvia)

The first Semi-Final of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held today in Dougavpils (Latvia). Michael Jepsen Jensen was flying to the victory in the semifinal 1 in Daugavpils, finishing on 14 points, the victory was almost secured before his last heat, only needing 1 point to take first place. More exciting was the result for the next places, before the last 4 heats, 8 riders was in play for the last 4 qualification places. After finishing the last 4 heats it was clear that 4 riders was equal on 11 point, but all riders was through to the ECC. Two riders was also equal on 10 points for reserve place. In first run-off Russian Renat Gafurov took a victory against Josef Franc and securing the reserve place. Final heat was a run off for 2-3-4 and 5 position. Honda Junior Cup in Imola (Italy)

The 3rd round of the FIM European Honda Junior Cup took place this weekend on the Imola circuit. 22 riders from 14 nations went to the start. The race developed into a very exciting competition. A group of 11 riders battled lap after lap for the podium. In round 6, there were still 10 and in the last lap it was only 7. The winner was Augusto FERNANDEZ in front of Javier ORELLANA and Josh HARLAND all Spanish riders. Augusto Fernandez (WIL Sport) has come out victorious at the end of an exciting battle for the victory in the Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda race at Imola. Third round of the Superstock 600cc EC in Imola (Italy)

The 3rd round of the FIM European Championship took place today on the Imola circuit (Italy). The Italian Rider Marco Faccani went on to start in the lead and won ahead of the Finn Niki Tuuli and Stefano Casa Lotti (Italy). Marco Faccani (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) narrows thus his gap to the leader of the FIM Europe Superstock 600 Championship Tuuli after taking a lights to flag victory in the third round of the series at Imola today. Behind Faccani, a titanic race long battle kept the crowd entertained with eventually Niki Tuuli (Kallio Racing Yamaha) and Stefano Casalotti (VFT Racing Yamaha) completing the podium. Speedway Pairs EC Semi-Final 1 in Debrecen (Hungary)

The first semi-final of the speedway Pairs European Championship was held yesterday in Debrecen (Hungary). 2.200 spectators watched impressive speedway meeting. Heavy rain interrupted meeting for more than 1 hour. Winning pair from Latvia with 23 points, second from Russia with 22 points, and home Hungarian pair with 19 points. Second round of the European Junior Cup in Assen (The Netherlands)

The second round of the European Juionr Cup powered by Honda was held today in Assen (The Netherlands). The six lap race of the Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda was held today under rainy conditions. Spaniard Augusto Fernandez (WIL Sport) managed to win his first race of the season, the second one in the series so far, edging out Sweden's Jesper Hubner (Honda Sweden) and pole sitter Marc Miralles (Honda Spain), who is still the points leader after the second race of the season. Second round of the Superstock 600cc EC in Assen (The Netherlands)

Niki Tuuli (Kallio Racing Yamaha) has won the second round of the FIM Europe Superstock 600cc Championship after a masterful display at a rain soaked Assen circuit in the Netherlands. A downpour just moments before the race meant a slight delay to proceedings but when the red lights eventually went out the committed fans who stayed and braved the treacherous conditions were treated to an exciting spectacle from the stars of the future. Starting from 10th on the grid Finnish rider Niki Tuuli rode an almost perfect race leading at one point by more than 4 seconds before being caught by Italy’s Kevin Manfredi (Agro-On Wil Racedays Honda) and local rider Wayne Tessels (Wayne’s Racing Team Suzuki). Road Racing Hill Climbing first round in Landshhag (Austria)

The first round of the Road Racing Hill Climb European Championship was held this weekend at Landshaag. The circuit in Upper Austria is once again the fastest course of the whole calendar. The weather conditions were typical for April: sunny and rainy alternating... But everything was well organised and both race heats were very interesting.
