The second round of the European Juionr Cup powered by Honda was held today in Assen (The Netherlands). The six lap race of the Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda was held today under rainy conditions. Spaniard Augusto Fernandez (WIL Sport) managed to win his first race of the season, the second one in the series so far, edging out Sweden's Jesper Hubner (Honda Sweden) and pole sitter Marc Miralles (Honda Spain), who is still the points leader after the second race of the season. Niki Tuuli (Kallio Racing Yamaha) has won the second round of the FIM Europe Superstock 600cc Championship after a masterful display at a rain soaked Assen circuit in the Netherlands. A downpour just moments before the race meant a slight delay to proceedings but when the red lights eventually went out the committed fans who stayed and braved the treacherous conditions were treated to an exciting spectacle from the stars of the future. Starting from 10th on the grid Finnish rider Niki Tuuli rode an almost perfect race leading at one point by more than 4 seconds before being caught by Italy’s Kevin Manfredi (Agro-On Wil Racedays Honda) and local rider Wayne Tessels (Wayne’s Racing Team Suzuki). The Individual Grass Track European Championship started on the 21st of April in the Dutch track of Balkburg. The winner of the day was Dutch Jannick De Jong, followed by Dutch Dirk Fabriek and German Matthias Kröger. The first round of the Road Racing Hill Climb European Championship was held this weekend at Landshaag. The circuit in Upper Austria is once again the fastest course of the whole calendar. The weather conditions were typical for April: sunny and rainy alternating... But everything was well organised and both race heats were very interesting. Overall winners of the first round for the different classes were: 250GP: Pierre Yves Bian (FRA, Yamaha) 600cc: Harald Jungwirth (AUT, Yamaha) 1200cc: Toni Rechberger (AUT, Suzuki) Sidecar: Dichamp/Peugeot (FRA, LCR) Supermoto Open: Josef Frauenschuh (AUT, KTM) The next event will take place on Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of June at Carpasio (Italy).    Download here FIM Europe Press Release 030/2014    

The first round of the Road Racing Honda Junior Cup was held today on the Aragorn Motorland track (Spain). Spanish domination with the first five riders coming from Spain. The podium saw in first position Marc Miralles, second position Javier Orellane and third Mika Perez. The race was very well fought with all riders in the first part of the race very close on each other. In the last 5 laps 8 riders switched positions until the final victory of Miralles. The Superstock 600cc Road Racing European Championship started today at the Spanish track of Motorland Aragorn. The victory of this opening round went to Italian Marco Faccani (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) with an impressive display of riding. A group of seven were in the fight for 2nd and 3rd, but at the flag Italian Andrea Tucci (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) and Dutch Wayne Tessels (Wayne’s Racing Team) completed the podium after a thrilling 11 lap race at the very sunny MotorLand Aragon circuit in Spain. FIM Europe acknowledged the pubblication by Dorna of the entry list for riders admitted to the 2014 Road Racing European Championship for the Superstock 600cc class. The second day of the Individual Ice Racing Final was held yesterday Sunday the 23rd of February in the Siberian track of Kamensk-Uralskiy (Russia). The Individual Ice Racing Final was held this weekend in two different rounds in the Siberian track of Kamensk-Uralskiy (Russia). FIM Europe, in agreement with Dorna, RFME and the Direction of the Albacete Circuit, defined the date of the 5th of October 2014 for the single event of 2014 Road Racing European Championship on the Spanish track for the following classes: Moto 3, Supersport 600cc. and Superstock 1000cc. To the event will be admitted the first 5 riders in the corresponding national championships of Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands and Italy and the first 4 riders of regional championships (Nordic, Alpe Adria and Eastern Europe) for each class. There is also the possibility to participate to riders with Wild Card, whose request should be presented to RFME in the terms defined by the event rules.
