Vorlicek dominates Supermoto S2 EC round in Palermo

The second round of the class S2 of the Supermoto European Championship was held today at the Sicilian track of Palermo (Italy). In the first heat the Czech rider Petr VORLICEK (HONDA) confirmed his pole position of the Saturday making the hole shot, he managed the heat with wisdom obtaining also the fastest lap of the race. In second position finished Italian Edgardo BORELLA (YAMAHA) and third Mitchell-Thomas MALACHI (HONDA) from Great Britain who resisted in the last lap to the attacks of red plate Devon VERMUELEN (KTM) from Netherlands who finished fourth. First day of European Enduro in Arsiè

The first day of the Enduro European Championship was held yesterday in Arsiè, in Northern Italy. The town of Arsiè is not far from Belluno, in a plain surrounded by mountains in the north of Lake Corlo, an artificial lake created in 1954 blocking the Cismon river along the slopes of Monte Grappa for the production of electrical energy. In the first day of competition, in the main town square 231 riders started the race at 9.00. Two the special tests: one cross (to cover three times) and one timed enduro test (to cover two times), for a total of five special test. Introduction of the 2012 Enduro EC

The Enduro European Championship will start this weekend the 26th and 27th of May in Italy. The Championship consists of four events to be held in Italy, Estonia, Latvia and Slovakia. The two rounds in Estonia and Latvia can be contested on consecutive week-ends, thus making it an ideal stepping-stone for young talents into the international Enduro sport, as well as a platform for the established semi-pros. Fierce competition will be expected as starter-numbers, liaison and special-tests will be on par with the World-championships. A lot of thought and effort has been put into the classes this year. Besides the normal E1 to E3 and the womens' class, there is going to be a veterans' class for the riders over 40 years as well as three juniors' classes. Junior, S3 and Open Supermoto EC in Pleven

The first event of 2012 UEM Supermoto European Championship started last weekend in Pleven for the classes SM Junior, S3 and Open with a good number of participants, especially in the Junior Class (15 riders). Saturday practices were held in bad rain conditions, following a 2 weeks non-stop rain in the region of Pleven. The all tarmac facility in Dolna Mitropolia-Pleven made it possible to organize the race. The circuit and its facilities were operational at highest possible level as usual, offering the riders and their teams a perfect playground to show their skills and competitiveness. Both heats in SM Junior Class were won by the Turkish rider Harun Cabuk (Honda), followed by another Turkish rider Asrrin Rodi Pak (Honda). The second round of the EMX65 / EMX85 in North-Eastern zone and the fifth round of the EMX Open Motocross European Championship was held in In Velke Uherce (Slovakia). In EMX65 first race the Russian rider Timor PETRASHIN (KTM) finished first in front of Ukrainian Mykola MOSKALUK (KTM) in second position and another Russian Daniil BALANDIN (KTM) in third position. In second race EMX 65 again victory by PETRASHIN. Second position also againe to MOSKALUK and third position from Estonian Andreas HIIEMAGI (KTM). Second round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad in Reutlingen

The second round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad European Championship was run this weekend in Reutlingen (Germany) on a perfect prepared Motocross Track. In the Qualifying Practice Saturday afternoon the French Jérémie WARNIA (CANAM) was the fastest rider. On the second place was Belgian Jan VLAYMANS (W-TEC) and on the third place, French Romain COUPRIE (YAMAHA) In Race number one Latvian Edgars MENGELIS (KTM) was the fastest rider, and Italian Andrea CESARI Jr. (KTM) on the second place, third was British Paul HOLMES (YAMAHA). SW EMX65, SW EMX85 and EMX Open in Brezice

The track of Brezice (Slovenia) hosted this weekend the 2nd round of the South-Western EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc and 4th round of the EMX Open. The time schedules was changed because of weather forecasts of heavy rain and thunder. The EMX 65cc class made therefore free training, qualifying training and 2 races on Saturday. In the first race EMX 65cc was the fastest rider Slovenian Luka Milek (KTM) with Italian Alessandro Facca (KTM) and Rene Hofer AUT (KTM) on the second and third place.
