Results of the 250cc Motocross EC in Loket

aboutuemExcellent conditions for motocross in the EMX250cc European Championship event held in Loket (Czech Republic) this weekend in front of more than 25.000 spectators. Sixty-four riders from 18 countries were present at the fourth event of the EMX250 2012 Championship.

First race of this event was brilliantly won by French rider Maxime Desprey (Kawasaki) who managed to lead from start to finish. British rider Mel Pocock (Yamaha), who won every race of the three previous rounds, came in second place at the finish line of the 15 lap race, while third step of the podium was occupied by Slovenian Tim Gasjer (KT), after winning an early battle with Danish Stefan Kjer Olsen (Yamaha).

Second race started with the same Maxime Desprey (Kawasaki) in the lead, followed by British Mel Pocock (Yamaha), Slovenian Tim Gasjer (KTM) and Swiss Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki). Second lap of the race the French-man crashes out of the leading, opening the way to another Mel Pocock (Yamaha) victory in this Championship (seventh win out of eight races). Second finished Slovenian Tim Gasjer (KTM) while third was Swiss Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki). Desprey eventually finished the race sixth, coming on third step of the podium for the overall.

The provisional rankings see the dominance of Pocock with 197 points, followed by Stefan Kjer Olsen with 158 points.

Next event of the EMX250 European Championship will be in Matterley Basin (UK) from the 16th to the 19th of August 2012.
