European Endurance Cup at Magny Cours (France)

The circuit of Magny Cours hosted the first edition of the European Endurance Cup. It was a 12 hours race, which was followed by 16.100 spectators. The long weekend started from Thursday, with free practice. On Friday, qualifying practice saw Gauthier Duwelz of BMRT 3D-1 Team catch the pole position with his best lap in 1'47''558 on his Kawasaki, on a slightly wet track.Second position in qualifying for Motostand Endurance Team, at almost 2 seconds from the pole-man. On Saturday evening, after the first 6 hours of race and 195 laps, the leader was the Motostand Endurance Team with Baptiste Regouby and Antoine Viellard, at their first 12 Hours of Magny Cours. Poleman Gauthier Duwelz did the fastest lap time in the first 6 hours of race, too, in 1'45''450, but finished the day in 5th position due to technical problems. EMX125 and 250 at Saint Jean D’Angely (France)

Saint Jean d’Angely is a world-class, yet typically French style motocross track, which is clay-based and stony with loads of spectacular downhill ski jumps, and a lot of elevation. Today the fourth round of the European Championship EMX125 presented by FMF Racing and the sixth round of the European Championship EMX250 joined the paddock of the FIM Motocross World Championship for the MXGP of France where in the premier amateur class, EMX250, Bud Racing Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Darian Sanayei won both races for his first EMX overall victory, while KTM Silver Action’s Stephen Rubini did the same, and had the home fans fired up as he topped the box for the second time this year. EMX 65/85 South East Zone European Championship at Sevlievo (Bulgaria)

 The third round of the European Motocross Championship EMX65 and EMX85 South East Zone took place in the circuit of Gorna Rositsa - Sevlievo. Despite the good preparation of the venue, a very heavy rain on Saturday morning forced the organizers to use the Junior version of the track, avoiding the famous uphills. In the EMX65 class, Marius Popovici from Romania (KTM) shared one first and one second place with the Hungarian rider Laszlo Tecsi (KTM). However on the top of the podium there was Popovici, who won the second race. Third step of the podium for Noel Zanocz from Hungary (KTM).In the EMX85 class the rider from Croatia Nikola Hranic (Husqvarna) scored the same number of points as his big rival Adam Kovacs (Hungary, KTM), both conquering one first and one second place in the two races. Speedway Euro Championship Participants announced

Grigorij Laguta, one of the nominated riders for the Speedway Euro Championship The FIM Europe together with Speedway Euro Championship promoter One Sport, is pleased to announce the selection of the permanent wild card riders and nominated substitute riders for the 2016 Speedway Euro Championship, which will begin in Guestrow, Germany, on July 16th.   In addition to the top 5 riders from season 2015, who are automatically qualified, and to the 7 riders who qualified through the elimination rounds, the permanent wild cards are as follows: Grigorij Laguta (Russia), Andzejs Lebedevs (Latvia) and Vaclav Milik (Czech Republic). The field will therefore consist of 15 riders from 7 Countries: 4 from Denmark, 3 from Poland, 3 from Sweden, 2 from Russia, 1 from Czech Republic, 1 from Slovakia and 1 from Latvia. European Drag Racing Championship at Wellingborough (United Kingdom)

The first European Drag Racing Championship and Cup race of the year started in Santa Pod, England this bank holiday weekend. The track was very well and professionally prepared by the Santa Pod Crew. The first round on Saturday showed us that this track was capable of some record breaking racing. During the second qualification round, Top Fuel Bike rider Iian King from Great Britain made a low pass at 5.8 sec. Also Super Street Bike rider Steve Venables, from Great Britain, too, broke the 7 seconds barrier with a stunning 6,9 seconds pass.  Qualification ended with Ian King  as top qualifier in Top Fuel Bike, Samu Kemppainen from Finland as top qualifier in Super Twin, Gert-Jan Laseur from The Netherlands as top qualifier in Pro Stock Bike and Steve Venables as top qualifier in the Super Street Bike Cup.The race day was Monday, and it started with small rain

EMX 65 and 85 NW at Imatra (Finland)

In the weekend of 28-29 May the last event of North West European Motocross 65 and 85 cc Championship was held in Imatra (Finland), organised by Imatran Moottorikerho R.Y. Both racing days benefitted from light cloudy weather, which allowed 500 spectators to watch the event live in the track. After the technical control there were 22 riders in the EMX65 class and 23 riders in the EMX85 class. EMX65The first heat of this class was won by Czech rider Adam Maj, 4 seconds before Tomas Pikart (also from Czech Republic) and 6 seconds before Dutch rider Bradley Mesters. The second heat was dominated by the Danish rider Mads Fredsoe, 11 seconds before Maximillian Werner (Germany) and 23 seconds before Kasimir Hindersson (Finland). European Junior Cup at Donington (Great Britain)

The third race of the 2016 WIL Sport European Junior Cup, powered by Honda, was won by Spain’s Mika Perez (Granshagen Racing Team), who crossed the line at the end of the 11-lap race at Donington Park with a 0.7s margin over his nearest rival, Dorian Laville (Team Laville Mi&Do) from France. Paolo Grassia (Chiodo Moto Racing) completed the podium in third by edging out teammate and fellow Italian Alfonso Coppola and South Africa’s Dorren Louriero (Family Fitness Racing). Assen race winner Hannes Soomer (Auto24Ring) was en route to a second consecutive victory but ran wide on lap nine; the young Estonian rider made an incredible save and avoided a high-speed crash against the tyre barriers at Coppice, before re-joining and finishing sixth. EMX125, 250 and 300 at Talavera de la Reina (Spain)

  It was like re-living the good old days at the grass-roots style track here in Spain as the two-strokes racing the European Championships EMX125 presented by FMF Racing and EMX300 presented by FMF Racing ripped up and down the rolling hills of Talavera de la Reina for the third rounds of their series’. In the big-bore two-stroke class, EMX300 presented by FMF Racing, it was GL12 Yamaha’s Brad Anderson who rode the wheels off of his grunty blue beast for his first race win and overall victory of the season.
