The track of Mladina in Croatia was the venue of the fourth round of the EMX 65 and 85 South East Zone of the 2016 European Motocross Championship. It also hosted the fifth round of the Open class European Championship, with more than 2000 spectators present despite the bad weather since Saturday night. The EMX65 race 1 saw Romanian rider Marius Popovici (KTM) get out in front and dominate in front of Hungarian Laszlo Tecsi (KTM). Noel Zanocz (KTM), also from Hungary, was third in this race. Even tough Marius Popovici started in front also in the second race, a crash with another rider slowed him down and he had to settle for second place, while Laszlo Tecsi rode to victory.
