Photo - Alexander GeorgievPleven (Bulgaria) hosted the second round of 2016 FIM Europe SuperMoto Championship for classes SM 85, S3 and Open. The event gathered about 2500 spectators and the weather was partially cloudy with temperatures around 25 degrees.

In Race1 of Open class Bulgarian Yanko Tashev (TM) did the best start from the second position and took the lead, followed by Alexsander Georgiev (KTM, Bulgaria). For half of the race they were wheel to wheel, but in the middle part of of the race Georgiev made a mistake and crashed, losing more than 10 seconds. Tashev was therefore the winner, Georgiev (in the photo) second and Borislav Stoimenov (KTM, Bulgaria) third.
Race2 started almost in the same way, with Tashev leading in the turn 1, but this time Georgiev managed to overtake him already in the second corner and then extended the lead lap by lap, winning the race. Tashev was second and Stoimenov third. This was also the overall standing of the event.
The S3 class was been dominated in both races by Hakan Halmi (KTM, Bulgaria), followed by Alex Dimitrov (KTM, Bulgaria) and Yanislav Stoynov (KTM, Bulgaria).
