FIM Europe Management Council, acknowledging the cancellation by the Federation Motorcycling of Ukraine (FMU) of the EMX Open round and the qualifying round for the North-East area of the EMX 65 and EMX85 European Championship, which were scheduled on the 4th of May in Kiev, decided to move it at the Polish track of Cieszyn. The FIM Europe Snowcross Championship was held on the track in Hattfjelldal the 1st and the 2nd of March, with a lot of riders entered (41). On a perfect prepared track there were two races on Saturday, and two races on Sunday and on the final results we can see that the first and second place goes to SML (Finland) and the third place to NMF Norway.   Download here Final Rankings of 2014 Snowcross EC

FIM Europe and Youthstream are delighted to announce that the 2014 edition of the Motocross of European Nations (MXoEN) event will be held in Pacov in Czech Republic on the date of the 24th August 2014. The riders taking part in the event will be divided in three different categories, 85cc, 125cc and 250cc, and besides racing for their Nation’s victory, they will also fight for an individual result. FIM Europe decided, in conjunction with Youthstream and after receiving formal request by the Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation and by many riders/teams, to add one more round to the EMX125 European Championship. This additional event will take place in Sevlievo (Bulgaria) on the 20th of April in conjunction with the MXGP. The decision was taken with the aim to make even more interesting this Championship, which is gaining more and more interest and success, thanks to the close collaboration between Youthstream and FIM Europe.   Download here FIM Europe Press Release 006/2014

Saturday, September the 28th was held in Teutschenthal (GER), at the Motocross of Nations 2013, the awarding of the Motocross European Champions. The Youthstream Awards, before handing over the prizes for the World Championship, hosted the awarding of the young European Champions, handed by the Youthstream President, Mr Giuseppe Luongo, together with FIM Europe 1st Deputy President, Mr Wolfgang Glas, and the Chairman of the FIME MX Commission, Mr Eddie Herd. Prizes were awarded to five riders, although not all were present on the stage to receive: • Raivo Dankers - EMX65cc European Champion • Conrad Mewse - EMX85cc European Champion • Pauls Jonass- EMX125cc European Champion • Valentin Guillod - EMX250cc European Champion • Filippo Grigoletto - EMX 150 Honda The evening, full of suggestive videos, including videos dedicated to each of the European Champions, gave an unforgettable moment that hardly will be forgotten by the young European riders.

The final rounds of the European EMX125 and EMX250 championships took place today at the demanding circuit of Lierop, The Netherlands. Despite the treacherous conditions due to a substantial amount of overnight and early morning rain, the races were very spectacular. EMX125 class was left wide open this weekend when the 2013 champion Wilvo Nestaan JM Racing KTM’s Pauls Jonass opted to make his debut in the EMX250 instead. It’s no secret the Dutch riders love the sand and it was even more evident when both Dutch riders Red Bull KTM Racing’s Davy Pootjes and Kemea Reytec V/d Laar Racing Team’s Frederik Van der Vlist led the way around turn one. As the battle between Pootjes and Van der Vlist began to heat up, Van der Vlist took the lead but crashed half a lap later allowing Pootjes to ride away with a fifteen second advantage. After the regional qualifying races the final rounds of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championships were held during the MXGP Festival in Matterley Basing (Great Britain). In the EMX65 winner of both races was Dutch rider Raivo Dankers (KTM), who managed to become the new European Champion. Following in the rankings (all with 34 points) Spanish David Braceras Martinez (KTM), respectively 7th and 3rd , Italian Kevin Cristino (KTM), respectively 5th and 4th, and Finnish Emil Weckmann (KTM) 3rd and 7th. In the EMX85 class, the new European champion is British Conrad Mewse (KTM), who managed to win all the heats. Second position goes to Danish Glen Meier (KTM), who managed to get respectively 3rd and 2nd. Third overall position goes to Italian Gianluca Facchetti (Suzuki) with 38 points thanks to his 4th and 3rd position.   (FIM Europe Press Release 134/2013)

During the MXGP Festival were held also the 7th round of the EMX125 and 7th round of the EMX250 Motocross European Championships. In the EMX125 class, the victory went to Latvian Pauls Jonass (KTM) in front of French Nicolas Dercourt (Yamaha) and German Henry Jacobi (KTM). The provisional rankings see the leadership of Pauls Jonass with 193 points in fron of Nicolas Dercourt. With only one round to go, Jonass is the new 2013 European Champion in this class. In the EMX250 class, Swiss Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki) won the round in front of home rider Steven Clarke (KTM) and Swiss Valentin Guillod (KTM). Guillod maintains the first position in the provisional rankings with 164 points, followed by Jeremy Seewer getting closer, with only one round to go, with 152 points. Final round for EMX125 and EMX250 classes are scheduled the 8th of September in Lierop (The Netherlands).   (FIM Europe

The MXGP Festival is the pinnacle of motocross in the United Kingdom and for the British fans, there is nothing better than witnessing one of their “own” take home their first ever international race victory. British youngster Albie Wilkie turned out to be the crowd pleaser here in Matterley Basin, when he battled his way from a fourth place start to take victory here at round three of the EMX150 European Championship. Amidst all the action a new champion was born; Italian Filippo Grigoletto rode clever beyond his years to be crowned the first ever EMX150 European Champion which has rewarded him with a place on highly established team Gariboldi Honda for 2014.   (FIM Europe Press Release 129/2013)

With temperatures quite a bit colder than yesterday and a sky withholding thick cloud cover, the sixth round the EMX125 European Championship and the second round of Honda EMX150 European Championship kicked off today at the grass roots style circuit of Bastogne, Belgium. In the EMX125 class, Wilvo Nestaan JM Racing KTM’s Pauls Jonass was back to his dominating ways. The speedy Latvian led Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Brian Hsu and Frenchman Nicolas Dercourt across the finish to take his fifth EMX125 round victory of the year. The Latvian star took the early lead and went on to lead every lap for his fifth ‘Final’ race victory of the season. Only three seconds back from Jonass was the young German, Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Brian Hsu.
