Start of the 2014 EMX 125cc in Arco di Trento (Italy)

The first round of the EMX 125cc Motocross European Championship was held today in the Italian track of Arco di Trento. Slicing through the crisp air of Arco di Trento, forty young riders had their two-stroke 125cc machines singing as they went for gold at round one of the European EMX125 championship. Following in the footsteps of Dutch motocross hero FIM MX2 World Champion Jeffrey Herlings, another Dutch prodigy Red Bull KTM Racing’s Davy Pootjes proved to be on another level here in Arco di Trento, dominating both races to take his first perfect score of the season. In race one yesterday evening, Red Bull KTM Racing’s Davy Pootjes took the holeshot and went on to lead every lap unchallenged. Changes to the 2014 Motocross Sporting Calendar

BMF informed that the 2nd round of Eastern European Motocross Championship and the 1st round of European Motocross Championship EMX65 and EMX85 SE Zone, which were scheduled for the 4-6th of April 2014 in Gevgelija (FYROM), are cancelled due to important government elections in the country, the local laws and regulations related with the elections, as well the inability to find a suitable replacement date for the event. In addition, FMI informed that the Adria 500 Miles FIM Europe Cup event was rescheduled from 2-3rd of May to the new date of 24-25th of October.     Download here FIM Europe Press Release 019/2014

Success of the Training Camp for the preparation of the 2014 Honda 150 EC

The announced training camp for young riders that will participate to the 2014 Honda 150 European Championship, was held the past weekend (22nd and 23rd of March) and saw the participation of 22 young riders from 10 countries. Aim of the training was to provide useful information on the next championship by the Honda staff. In addition, a special section of training was dedicated to physical and psychical preparation and it was managed by a special team of FIM Europe, which provided advice and special tips also to the parents that will follow their young riders.     Download here FIM Europe Press Release 018/2014

Two-days training event dedicated to the young riders of the 150cc Honda EC in Albaida (Spain)

In the 22nd and 23rd of March, Honda Europe and FIM Europe will organise on the Spanish track of Albaida a two days training event reserved to 29 young riders of 10 different countries participating to the 150 Honda European Championship, in view of the start of the championship due to the 4th of May in Valkenswaard (The Netherlands). The youngsters, all on Honda CRF150R, will receive tips and technical advice by expert professionals and by a FIM Europe “special team”, the same that was already used in July 2013 in Lausitzring, which will evaluate their physical and psychological fitness and will provide them with useful indications on how to program their sporting season, how to keep constantly in shape, and how to train at their best. EMX Open & EMX 65/85 NEE: Change in FIM Europe Sporting Calendar

FIM Europe Management Council, acknowledging the cancellation by the Federation Motorcycling of Ukraine (FMU) of the EMX Open round and the qualifying round for the North-East area of the EMX 65 and EMX85 European Championship, which were scheduled on the 4th of May in Kiev, decided to move it at the Polish track of Cieszyn. 2014 Snowcross European Championship in Hattfjelldal

The FIM Europe Snowcross Championship was held on the track in Hattfjelldal the 1st and the 2nd of March, with a lot of riders entered (41). 2014 Edition of the MXoEN in Pacov (Czech Republic)

FIM Europe and Youthstream are delighted to announce that the 2014 edition of the Motocross of European Nations (MXoEN) event will be held in Pacov in Czech Republic on the date of the 24th August 2014. The riders taking part in the event will be divided in three different categories, 85cc, 125cc and 250cc, and besides racing for their Nation’s victory, they will also fight for an individual result. New date added to the 2014 EMX125 European Championship

FIM Europe decided, in conjunction with Youthstream and after receiving formal request by the Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation and by many riders/teams, to add one more round to the EMX125 European Championship. This additional event will take place in Sevlievo (Bulgaria) on the 20th of April in conjunction with the MXGP. Awarding of the Motocross European Champions in Teutschenthal (Germany)

Saturday, September the 28th was held in Teutschenthal (GER), at the Motocross of Nations 2013, the awarding of the Motocross European Champions. The Youthstream Awards, before handing over the prizes for the World Championship, hosted the awarding of the young European Champions, handed by the Youthstream President, Mr Giuseppe Luongo, together with FIM Europe 1st Deputy President, Mr Wolfgang Glas, and the Chairman of the FIME MX Commission, Mr Eddie Herd. Prizes were awarded to five riders, although not all were present on the stage to receive: • Raivo Dankers - EMX65cc European Champion • Conrad Mewse - EMX85cc European Champion • Pauls Jonass- EMX125cc European Champion • Valentin Guillod - EMX250cc European Champion • Filippo Grigoletto - EMX 150 Honda The evening, full of suggestive videos, including videos dedicated to each of the European Champions, gave an unforgettable moment that hardly will be forgotten by the young European riders.

Final round for EMX125 and EMX250 EC in Lierop (The Netherlands)

The final rounds of the European EMX125 and EMX250 championships took place today at the demanding circuit of Lierop, The Netherlands. Despite the treacherous conditions due to a substantial amount of overnight and early morning rain, the races were very spectacular. EMX125 class was left wide open this weekend when the 2013 champion Wilvo Nestaan JM Racing KTM’s Pauls Jonass opted to make his debut in the EMX250 instead. It’s no secret the Dutch riders love the sand and it was even more evident when both Dutch riders Red Bull KTM Racing’s Davy Pootjes and Kemea Reytec V/d Laar Racing Team’s Frederik Van der Vlist led the way around turn one. As the battle between Pootjes and Van der Vlist began to heat up, Van der Vlist took the lead but crashed half a lap later allowing Pootjes to ride away with a fifteen second advantage.
