FIM Europe at MXGP Awards

Today the best motocross riders in the world joined by some of the biggest names, brands, and organizers of the 2017 season at the Matterley Basin circuit, venue of the 2017 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations presented by Fiat Professional, for the 2017 MXGP Awards. Photo @Youthstream This year’s awards ceremony was held behind the circuit’s new start on the Podium and Skybox structure, hosted by MXGP Presenters Paul Malin and Lisa Leyland then broadcasted live to everyone worldwide via Facebook and MXGP-TV. Youthstream President Mr. Giuseppe Luongo and FIM President Mr. Vito Ippolito were on hand to present the awards to the 2017 FIM Motocross World Champions Antonio Cairoli and Pauls Jonass, in addition to the industry award winners. Sidecarcross and Quadcross of European Nations at Cingoli (Italy) – Day2

Today in Cingoli 3 races for sidecars plus 3 races for quads took place to decide the Nations team results. Perfect weather greeted the large crowd in the morning which was to change at the start of the last quad race. Quads- Team USA dominated the races but not without incident. In the first race Thomas Porter Brown holeshot but within 2 laps his team mate Joel Hetrick was in 2nd position despite starting on the second row. They continued to pull away from the rest of the field but Hetrick's quad suffered engine failure which put him out of the race. Italy's Andrea Cesari finished 2nd with French duo of Antoine Cheurlin and Yoann Gillouin taking 3rd and 4th place. The second race was totally dominated by the 2 Team USA riders, Chad Wienen and Joel Hetrick with Wienen holeshotting from the front row and Hetrick slotting into second

Motocross of European Nations at Gdansk, in Poland

The 2017 Motocross of European Nations saw 17 teams from 16 different countries come together to race in Gdansk, Poland this weekend. Today marked the second of the 2 day event. An Opening Ceremony started the morning with FIM Europe President Dr. Wolfgang Srb, Major of Gdansk Mr. Pawel Adamowicz and Mr. Michal Sikora, Vice President of the Polish Automobile and Motorcycling Federation PZM, all welcoming the participants. After a wet Saturday the weather made a change for the better Sunday to provide great racing and at the conclusion of which it was the French Federation celebrating as their team took the MXoEN winner’s trophy while the Women of the Netherlands celebrated their Women’s Motocross of European Nations victory. Motocross of European Nations 125cc/250cc In the first race of 125cc and 250cc Ukraine’s Volodymyr Tarasov led the first 2 laps but had France’s Mathys Boisrame and Germany’s Tom Koch behind him.

EMX of European Nations at Gdansk – The provisional entry lists

The yearly event of Motocross of the European Nations wil be held at Gdansk, in Poland, in the weekend of 2-3 September. Also the Women Motocross of European Nations will be held in the same weekend and in the entry lists there is also the name of the four-times world champion Kiara Fontanesi (in the photo). EMX 125, 150 and 300 at Lommel (Belgium)

Photos @Youthstream - The first overall race finishes to be decided at the Fiat Professional MXGP of Belgium were those of EMX300 Presented by FMF Racing and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing. Over two days of racing GL12 Racing’s Mike Kras and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Mikkel Harrup came out ahead of the rest winning their respective classes. EMX125 At the beginning of the weekend the 125cc class had 74 racers entered and only 40 making it through qualifying. Saturday’s Race 1 started with BUD Racing Monster Energy’s Brian Strubhart Moreau leading Gianluca Facchetti and Alessandro Manucci but on the third lap mistakes took all of them out of the top 3. The one rider who didn’t have any costly errors was Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Mikkel Haarup who moved into the lead on lap 4 and stayed in the top spot the remainder of the race to

Everyone loves the sound of two strokes and the young rippers of EMX65 took theirs on the circuit of Loket this weekend. In front of thousands of fans the Danish rider, Mads Fredsoe Sorensen, was crowned as the 2017 EMX65 European Champion today. With area races throughout the year, this weekend’s racing was the pinnacle of the season and the lone championship decider, a highlight for not only riders but fans alike. This weekend was also scheduled to host the EMX85 Championship Final but it was cancelled after a red flag incident resulted in the tragic loss of the young Moldovian rider Igor Cuharciuc. In the EMX65 race one on Saturday the two dutch youngsters, Ivano Van Erp and Damian Knuiman, had a fierce battle for the lead all the way to the finish after the early race leader, Jaka Peklaj while crossing finish jump. EMX 65 and 85 and Open at Kovel (Ukraine)

The 3rd round in EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc in the NE Zone and the 7th round in EMX Open were carried out in Kovel, Ukraine. On a well prepared track, with rainy weather the free Practice, pre qualifying practice and qualifying races were held on Saturday. In the EMX 65cc qualifying race the winner was Maksymilian Chwalik from Poland who the pole position for the Sunday races, in front of Richard Paat from Estonia and Janis Kubulins from Latvia. In the EMX 85cc class in qualifying the fastest rider was Romeo Karu from Estonia in front of Mairis Pumpurs from Latvia and Edvards Bidzans from Latvia. In the Open class the first rider over the finish line of the qualifying race was Dmytro Asmanov from Ukraine followed by Kristers Drewinskis from Latvia and Volodyyr Tarasov fromUkraine. EMX 125, 250 and 300 at Ottobiano (Italy) - Day 1

This weekend the EMX 125, 250 and 300 championships are being held at Ottobiano, in Italy. In day1, the first race of each class was held. In EMX125 Mikkel Haarup from Denmark won in front of Italian Gianluca Facchetti, both on Husqvarna. Third position for Isak Gifting, from Sweden, on KTM. EMX 125 - Photo ©Youthstreamn In EMX250 home rider Morgan Lesiardo on Kawasaki was the winner ahead of his compatriot Nicholas Lapucci on KTM. Third step of the podium for Simone Furlotti, from Italy, too. In EMX 300 James Dunn on KTM won in front of Brad Anderson, on KTM, too, both from Great Britain. Third position for Dutch Mike Kras, on the Orange brand bike, too. Tomorrow Race2 for the three classes will be held, again in the context of MXGP.

EMX 125 and 250 at Ernée (France)

The 2017 FIAT Professional MXGP of France started with the second races of European Championship EMX250 and EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing. Once both races results were tallied Honda Redmoto Assomotor’s Mathys Boisrame and Creymert Racing’s Kevin Horgmo (photo2) were the best European Championship riders. EMSX250 In what started as a field of 77 EMX250 riders (photo1) ended up with one winner, Frenchman Mathys Boisrame. Boisrame shined in front of his home crowd when he led every lap of race one on his way to the win. The #172 almost did the same in race two but was denied by his Honda Redmoto teammate Alberto Forato. Forato passed Boisrame on the very last lap to take the race 2 win after starting in eighth and working his way forward. Forato’s 12th in race one and win in race 2 put him 3rd overall. EMX 150 and 300 at Teutschenthal (Germany) – Day1

This weekend EMX 150 and 300 are being held at Teutschenthal, in Germany. In EMX 150, Italian Andrea Adamo won Race 1  in front of Luis Outeiro from Portugal and Anton Nordström Graaf from Sweden. In EMX 300 it was Brad Anderson, from Great Britain, to snatch the victory in Race1, setting his KTM in front of Mike Kras from The Netherlands, on KTM, too, and of Erik Willems from Belgium, on Husqvarna.
