Women and Youth Trial EC in Hvervenbutka (Norway)

German Franz Kadlec (Gas Gas) and British Emma Bristow (Sherco) got two convincing victories in the second round of the FIM UEM Youth and Women championship respectively, held at Hvervenbukta, south of Oslo, Norway. Both dominated in their classes making all their rivals to fight just for the runner up position. Kadlec, now finally sixteen years old , is the European Junior former champion and in his country nevertheless he is riding a 125 cc machine, he climbed the podium the week before in the top class. So he arrived here in great shape. He started soon very well scoring the best result in the first lap: just 8 points. But Italian Gabriele Giarba, Beta, was not distant: only 4 marks more. Presentation of the Norway round of Trial EC in Hvervenbukta

The FIM Europe UEM Trial Championship enters its final phase with two Nordic events in the next two week-ends. First appointment is at Hvervenbukta, south of Oslo, Norway, exactly where in 1998 it was held a world championship round , in August, too. But none of the young generation engaged in disputing the current series was present at that time, for sure. There will be a whole week-end of competitions and the weather forecasts are not encouraging because rain is expected rain in both days. On Saturday again in the haunt the very young riders and the best European women to fight in their second round -out of three. It took more than two months since they met each other in the very wet round run at Tanvald in Czech Republic. Results from Trial EC in Burzio (Italy)

Sweden Eddie Karlsson (JTG) won 10 points clear of Italian Luca Cotone, Gas Gas, the second round of the UEM FIM Europe held at Barzio, Valsassina, Italy. High scores for everybody nevertheless the good condition of the soil and the wonderful weather. It was due to the perfect implementation of the non stop rule. Right or not , good or bad, this rule is what decided in this year, but some riders are still stuck to their old riding. Cotone at section 13 of the first lap was punished for having jumping on his rear wheel without advancing! Same was happened to Borrellas few minutes earlier. Both astonished for the probably exaggerate strictness of the observer, but they have to cope with this, at least in this season. Presentation of Trial EC round in Barzio

Next Saturday it will be the turn of Italy to host the European Trials circus in occasion of the second round of the UEM FIM Europe Championship. The venue of Barzio, in Valsassina, North of Milan should offer a better weather compared to what happened in Czech Republic at the first one. About 90 riders have already sent their entry-forms and this confirms one more time as these series are always alive, no matter the real economic crisis spread on all the continent. In the top class, Sweden Eddie Karlsson, JTG, is expecting to defend his leadership, but it won't be easy because the twos who are chasing him in the overall standing are Italian's and will be able to count on the support of their fans in order to ride at their best: Matteo Poli, Ossa and Luca Cotone, Gas Gas, will take the chance to beat the favorite.

Start of the Trial EC in Tanvald (Czech Republic)

According to what predicted, Sweden Eddie Karlsson (JTG), Italians Matteo Poli (Ossa) and Luca Cotone (Gas Gas) occupied the podium keeping this order in the top class of the first round of the UEM FIM Europe Trial Championship, held at Tanvald, Czech Republic. Very tough competition due to the terrible weather that even today did not save the riders by the rain, as already happened the day before in the other competition scheduled for this event. In addition to the weather, the “non stop” rule made riders at least perplexed because they normally ride in different way in their own countries. Karlsson won quite clear on the Italian couple, gaining the leadership from the first lap and eventually improving his score in the second part of the competition. Trial Women and Youth EC in Tanvald (Czech Republic)

British Jack Price (Gas Gas) and Emma Bristow (Sherco) are the first winners in their respectively championship, the Youth's and the Women's in this very wet round held at Tanvald, Czech Republic. More than 60 brave young riders and women coming from 14 different countries spent about 4 hours in the rain to fight on the very slippery rocks that the wonderful well known Tanvald's forest offered. Among the Youth's , Price had his hard time in having the upper hand on German Franz Kadlec (Gas Gas) and British Dan Peace (Beta). The former scored the same points and the same number of cleans (15) of him and was beaten by just one “dab” less. Introduction to the first Trial EC round in Tanvald (Czech Republic)

The 2013 UEM FIM Europe Trial European Championship is on the go with a two-days event in Tanvald, North Czech Republic, this week-end. On Saturday it is scheduled the first of three rounds of the Youth Cup and Women Championship. On Sunday the usual four classes of the real European Championship that this year consists of 4 rounds. Nearly 150 riders have already sent their entry-forms for a championship always live nevertheless the world economic crisis. In the woods of this well known Trial venue, on Saturday the very young riders and the best women will fight on 12 sections to do twice. Still two loops the day after, but 15 hazards to be faced by the most blazoned pilots. Last round of Trial European Championship in Zelhem

Italian Francesco Cabrini and Dutch Marco Reit, both riding Italian Beta, have joined Matteo Grattarola in becoming European champions in the sixth and last round, held at Zelhem, Holland, near German borders. Another sunny day, after the wonderful weather which delighted the Youth and Women, who competed the day before, and the same restricted area, easily reachable by the public, offered to the riders a Trial very modern and spectacular. The already champion Matteo Grattarola had a goal: to equal the record made by Joan Pons in 1992, at the first UEM Trials Championship: six wins in six rounds. And he succeeded, though it was not easy to defend himself by a determined Spanish Pere Borrellas, who was leader at half competition and smelled perfume of final podium in the championship, if only he would have been able to keep that position. Last round of Trial Youth and Women EC in Zelhem

Spanish Jaime Busto (Beta) and British Becky Cook (Beta) are the 2012 champion in the Youth and Women classes of the UEM Trials Championship. This third and final round was held at Zelhem (Holland) in a very well fitted artificial area under the sun and temperatures quite unusual at this latitude in September. Despite the dry terrain always favourable to Southern Europe riders, it was not Busto who made his third win in a row. He finished second, heavily beaten by German Franz Xaver Kadlec (Gas Gas), who scored in two laps only 7 points: less than half what all the other riders did in just one lap! Quite astonished for the German rider’s ability shown today, all his rivals competed only for the runner-up position. Presentation of the last round of the Trial EC in Zelhem

The 2012 UEM Trials Championship is going to close down in the next weekend in the Dutch town of Zelhem, close to German borders, with two days rich of competitions. On a full artificial terrain, closed circuit, the organisers brought many rocks, even buying them abroad, from another famous venue in Germany. All the sections were fitted in a restricted area, easily reachable by the public. On Saturday on the scene, the very young riders and the women. For them it is the third round.
