Presentation of the Norway round of Trial EC in Hvervenbukta

aboutuemThe FIM Europe UEM Trial Championship enters its final phase with two Nordic events in the next two week-ends. First appointment is at Hvervenbukta, south of Oslo, Norway, exactly where in 1998 it was held a world championship round , in August, too. But none of the young generation engaged in disputing the current series was present at that time, for sure. There will be a whole week-end of competitions and the weather forecasts are not encouraging because rain is expected rain in both days.

On Saturday again in the haunt the very young riders and the best European women to fight in their second round -out of three. It took more than two months since they met each other in the very wet round run at Tanvald in Czech Republic. In the Youth class in that occasion, British Jack Price, Beta, prevailed on German Franz Kadlec, Beta, not present here. So the odds are on him, but good chances are also for British Dan Peace third in Tanvald. And pay attention to Italian Gabriele Giarba, Beta, searching for a sort of revenge after the poor performance showed there.

Between the women, being absent Spanish Sandra Gomez, British Emma Bristow has no rivals able to tear away her possible success. Italian Sara Trentini is the most quoted to climb the rostrum, too.

On Sunday there will be the main competition, round number 3 of the series. Leader in the top class, Sweden Eddie Karlsson, Jtg, winner of both the other rounds, will be opposed by Italian Luca Cotone, Gas Gas, who is occupying the runner up place in the series right now. Due to the hight travel expenses of this round and the lack of sponsors , the other Italian Matteo Poli, Ossa, won’t participate. Other riders able to fight for podium positions are Spanish Pere Borrellas,Gas Gas, and local idols, Vegard Ib Andersen, Gas Gas, or Sverre Lundevold, Beta.

Interesting and uncertain battle in the Junior class. British Iwan Roberts, Beta , has a smooth advantage on Finland Timo Myöhänen , Beta, and Italian Gabriele Giarba, Beta. Outsider could be British Jack Price, Beta.
