2019 Motocross European Championship Provisional Calendar

Now into the second half of the 2018 season the buzz for the 2019 MXGP season has begun. In addition to the recently announced MXGP of Hong Kong and the MXGP of China Youthstream proudly releases the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship Provisional Calendar. For the first round the European Championship will return to Great Britain’s Matterly Basin circuit, head straight to Valkenswaard for the MXGP of the Netherlands, then continue south to the MXGP of Trentino at Pietramurata. The teams will then prepare for the second fly away trip with back to back races in the massive Asian market at the MXGP of Hong Kong and the MXGP of China on Wednesday the 1st of May. EMX65, EMX 85 NE and EMX Women at Strykow (Poland)

The beautiful track of Strykow in Poland hosted the third round of the 2018 EMX Women European Championship and the last round of EMX 65 and EMX 85 North East zone. Around one thousand spectators gathered around the track to welcome and enjoy their favorite riders and feel the spirit of the race. The weather, despite all forecast and rain, turned out to be perfect during the whole weekend. Even though the organizer did a massive job to maintain the good quality of the track. On Saturday Danish rider Sara Andersen did an outstanding job at the Qualifying Race in EMX Women and was in the leadership the whole time. Just right behind her was Shana Van Der Vlist from The Netherlands with around 12 seconds from Sara. The third place was taken by Mathea Selebo from Norway. EMX 65 and 85 NW Zone at Sverepec (Slovakia) – Day1

The fourth round of the European EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc North West is being held this weekend at Sverepec, in Slovakia. The organizer made a great job to have the track in order for this event, and all the riders enjoyed a perfect track for free practice and qualifying practice today. Qualifying race in EMX 85cc saw Liam Everts from Belgium take the holeshot and gain the pole position. Second place for Constantin Piller from Germany ahead of Radek Vetrovsky from Czech Republic. In the EMX 65cc class Vitezslav Marek from Czech Republic was the first rider at the finish line and got pole position for Sunday’s race ahead of Aaron Kowatsch and Bradley Mesters. EMX 65cc, EMX 85cc NW Zone and EMX Women at Dreetz (Germany) – Day 2

The third round of the EMX 65/65 European Championship of North West Zone and the second round of EMX Women were held in Germany on the sandy track of Dreetz. The weather on Sunday was cloudy with a temperature of 24 degrees. The track was very well prepared and all riders were looking forward to exciting races. EMX85 - In Race1, Dutch Kay Karssemakers was able to achieve the first place. In second place Dutch Kay de Wolf, ahead of Liam Everts from Belgium. In Race2 first place for Dutch Kay Karssemakers ahead of Kay De Wolf from The Netherlands and of Liam Everts from Belgium. EMX65 and EMX85 European Championships SE Zone at Sevlievo (Bulgaria) - Day1

On the Bulgarian track of Sevlievo, the practice and qualifying of the EMX 65 and 85 South East Zone European Motocross Championships have been held today in hot, dry condition. EMX 85 - Croatian rider Luka Kunic won Qualifying race in very hot weather. The championship leader confirmed his supremacy ahead of Marius Kanakis from Greece and of Romanian rider Marius Popovici. EMX 65 – The protagonists of the top positions in the general standings were fighting for the first three places in the qualifying race. Zoltan Ordog was the leader from start to finish. FIM Europe at the MXGP of Turkey Official Presentation

The MXGP of Turkey which is set to take place on September the 1st and 2nd in Afyonkarahisar was officially presented to over 120 guests including national and international media as well as national sponsors on January the 9th. The event was hosted at the famous Çırağan Palace, a former Ottoman Palace now 5 star hotel, located on the European shore of the Bosphorus. Both national and international authorities were invited to the outstanding Palace’s Ballroom where a press conference was held. In attendance was Youthstream Vice President Luigi Zompetti, FIM Europe President Dr. Wolfgang Srb and Turkish Motorcycling Federation President Bekir Yunus Ucar, Governor of Afyonkarahisar Mustafa Tutulmaz and the Mayor of Afyonkarahisar Burhanettin Coban, all of which took the stage to introduce the event from their unique perspectives. Today the best motocross riders in the world joined by some of the biggest names, brands, and organizers of the 2017 season at the Matterley Basin circuit, venue of the 2017 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations presented by Fiat Professional, for the 2017 MXGP Awards. Sidecarcross and Quadcross of European Nations at Cingoli (Italy) – Day2

Today in Cingoli 3 races for sidecars plus 3 races for quads took place to decide the Nations team results. Perfect weather greeted the large crowd in the morning which was to change at the start of the last quad race. Quads- Team USA dominated the races but not without incident. In the first race Thomas Porter Brown holeshot but within 2 laps his team mate Joel Hetrick was in 2nd position despite starting on the second row. They continued to pull away from the rest of the field but Hetrick's quad suffered engine failure which put him out of the race. Italy's Andrea Cesari finished 2nd with French duo of Antoine Cheurlin and Yoann Gillouin taking 3rd and 4th place. The second race was totally dominated by the 2 Team USA riders, Chad Wienen and Joel Hetrick with Wienen holeshotting from the front row and Hetrick slotting into second

Motocross of European Nations at Gdansk, in Poland

The 2017 Motocross of European Nations saw 17 teams from 16 different countries come together to race in Gdansk, Poland this weekend. Today marked the second of the 2 day event. An Opening Ceremony started the morning with FIM Europe President Dr. Wolfgang Srb, Major of Gdansk Mr. Pawel Adamowicz and Mr. Michal Sikora, Vice President of the Polish Automobile and Motorcycling Federation PZM, all welcoming the participants. After a wet Saturday the weather made a change for the better Sunday to provide great racing and at the conclusion of which it was the French Federation celebrating as their team took the MXoEN winner’s trophy while the Women of the Netherlands celebrated their Women’s Motocross of European Nations victory. Motocross of European Nations 125cc/250cc In the first race of 125cc and 250cc Ukraine’s Volodymyr Tarasov led the first 2 laps but had France’s Mathys Boisrame and Germany’s Tom Koch behind him.
