European Vintage Endurance Championship – The start in Paul Ricard

After a 2014 season full of twists, the riders of the European Classic Series met again at the track of Paul Ricard in Castellet for the opening round of the 2015 season. After the qualification sessions we found the title holders, the Belgian riders Richard Hubin and Grégory Fastré in pole postion, followed by the English Team Sweatshop Phase One, with Hugh Brasher, Stéphane Mertens and Ian Simpson and the Italians Giorgio Cantalupo and Cristiano Ascanio from team Taurus.When the French flag announced the start of the four-hour race, team Taurus signed for the holeshot and took the lead after the first lap, staying in that position for 10 laps. European Motocross 65-85 cc South East Championship – First round in Giannitsa

Julian Georgiev, winner of the first heat in the 85 cc In the weekend of 4-5 April the South East European Motocross 65 and 85 cc Championship event was held in Giannitsa (Greece). The event showed a very good cooperation among all the parties involved: FIM Europe, Bulgarian Motorcycling Federation and organizers, Greek Motocross Club OFMG, who carried out all their work in perfect conditions.     Three thousand people gathered in Giannitsa MX Park to enjoy the thrilling races the MX kid riders in EMX65 and EMX85 were about to perform. European Motocross 65-85 cc North West Championship First round in Emmen

The start of the EMX 65 In the weekend of 4-5 April the North West European Motocross 65 and 85 cc Championship event was held in Emmen and for the first time it was organised by the MSV Motodrome Emmen. During the week before the event the weather had been very rainy and the club made an excellent job preparing the circuit. At the start of the event, all conditions were perfect for good racing. Both racing days benefitted from sunny weather, which allowed around 1.000 spectators to watch the event live in the track.After the technical control there were 28 riders in the EMX65 class and 66 riders in the EMX85 class.    EMX65        The first heat of the EMX65 class was dominated by Dutch rider Kay Karssemakers. European Motocross Championship 65-85cc South East Calendar Update

The race of European Motocross Championship 65/85 South East Zone, which was scheduled in Gevgelija, MKD, on 11-12 April has been postponed due to the heavy rains of the latest days, which have seriusly flooded the track. Colin Moram honoured for lifetime of service to ACU’s South Midland centre

On 31st March 2015 Honorary FIM Vice President Colin Moram was honoured for his fifty years of service to motorcycle sport in the ACU South Midland centre. The meeting included a talk about the work of FIM Europe and FIM by John Chatterton-Ross. “I was delighted to be asked to join this presentation to Colin who I have known since I was first involved in FIM work twenty five years ago”, added John Chatterton Ross, FIM Europe Director of Public Affairs. “He is a motorcyclist who has served at the very highest levels of our sport. He still keeps working today. Enduro European Championship – Ready to start!

It is countdown to the Enduro European Championship: the start will be in Italy, in the weekend of 11-12th April, in the track of Rieti, less than 100 km North-East from the capital Rome.More than 200 riders have already applied in the various classes of the European Championship right now, including the reigning champion of all classes, Maurizio Micheluz. The winner of the "overall" switched onto a Husqvarna and will have a home-race in Italy. So he is still one of the big favourites. European Motocross Championship 65-85-Open 1st round in Brezice – The races

  The beautiful track of Brezice, in Slovenia, hosted the first round of the European Supermoto Championship. Fine weather, with sunshine and warm temperatures, up to 16 degrees in the afternoon, for an agreeable beautiful racing day with about 3.000 spectators. EMX 65In the first heat, holeshot of French rider Florian Miot, who managed to win the race in front of two Spanish young riders: Edgar Canet and Raul Sanchez. The second heat was a copy of the first. The winner of the first race winner Florian Miot took again holeshot. At the start the French rider Tejy Krismann, who closed the first heat in fourth position, was in 2nd place but he made a mistake and was found himself at the end of the group. European Supermoto Championship Marc Reiner Schmidt wins the first round

  The circuit of Jerez de la Frontera hosted in this weekend the first round of the European Supermoto Cham­­p­ion­ship. S2 Race 1After storming to his first career pole on Saturday Marc Reiner Schmidt (in the photo) wasted no time in taking his place at the head of the pack as he grabbed the all-important holeshot to lead from lap one, and from there went on to record his first ever S2 European Championship race victory by the comfortable margin of almost nine seconds.Italian Yuri Guardalà started in second place but had no answer to the pace of Reiner Schmidt, instead having to deal with the pressure from Toni Klem who chased the Italian all the way from flag-to-flag to come home third.Behind the top three, the race was pretty static apart from the hard charging performance from Diego Monticelli; the Italian started in seventh and looked content to stay

European Motocross Championship 65-85-Open 1st round in Brezice – Qualifying

The circuit of Brezice, in Slovenia, hosted the first round of European Motocross Championship 65cc, 85cc and Open. After the heavy rain on Friday, the decision to cancel the free practice was taken. The pre-qualification started at 12.30 in good weather condition: windy, dry, sun and about 10 degrees maximum.There were 13 riders in 65 cc, 33 riders in 85 cc and 31 riders in the Open class.During qualification there were no big surprises. In the front position there were the same riders who had the best pre-qualifying times. Only in the Open class we had some surprises, as we saw in pre-qualifying the Irt family in first 2 and Gercar in 3th place. The qualifying race started with one rider who started to early and many followed and got blocked at the startinggate.
