Vintage Hill Climb European Championship: final round in Germany

Vintage Hill Climb European Championship: final round in Germany The last round of the Vintage Hill Climb European Championship was held on 3rd-4th August in Lückendorf, Germany with 102 riders and sidecars present (80 solo riders and 22 sidecars), divided into 3 solo classes and 3 sidecars classes. Day 1 Strong rain in the midle of the day caused the delay on the timetable and sessions were partially modified. First position in class 8a sidecars was Gundiger Roland/ Gundinger Maria, in class 8b was Huml Jiry /Huml Vojtech and in class 8c was Rösler Detlef/ Schmidt Luca. Day 2 With good weather all classes raced on time, both solo moto and sidecars. Thanks to an excellent organization and many collateral events, over 10.000 spectators join the events. Round winner: 8a – Roland Gundinger / Maria Gundinger 8b – Warner Kohle / Manuel Stadler 8c – Peter Gierlinger / Helga Gierlinger

Road Race Hill Climb European Championship: the fifth round in Italy sdr_HDRB On 03rd-04th August was raced in Gragnana, Italy, the fifth round of the Road Race Hill Climb European Championship. Nice weather and summer temperatures welcomed riders and team, who on Saturday’s raced the free practices in 2 km long hill climb track. There were 165 entries in different categories, 28 for the European Championship. Race1 classification: 250GP – Guido Testoni (ITA) Supersport – Davide Lignite (ITA) Supermono Open – Alexander Ponzellini (ITA) Superbike – Cleaz Savoyen Romain (FRA) Race2 classification: 250GP - Guido Testoni (ITA) Supersport - Davide Lignite (ITA) Supermono Open - Alexander Ponzellini (ITA) Superbike – David Jean Kuc (FRA)

Road Racing Hill Climb European Championship and Vintage Hill Climb European Championship: the race in Austria The second round of the Road Racing Hill Climb European Championship was race in Julbach, Austria, on 15th-16th June in very good weather conditions. The first and the second practice was on Saturday afternoon, while the third one was on Sunday morning. In 250 class Guido Testoni from Italy won both the races. Double victory too for Rafael Neuner in Supersport class. The first heat of Superbike class was dominated by French rider Jean Luc David, who in race 2 recorded the new track record (1’05’’343) receiving a special price from the organizer. In Supermoto open class double win for the Austrian Josef Frauenschuh. Vintage Championship: Gundinger/Gundinger won 8a category, Neubauer/Stobich won 8b category, Greil/Greil won 8c category.

Road Race Hill Climb and Vintage Sidecar Hill Climb European Championship: to the track at Landshaag, Austria dav The 40th edition of the Hill Climb Event in Landshaag, Austria, was the first round of the Road Race Hill Climb European Championship. Despite uncertain weather conditions and low temperatures, about 12.000 spectators and 55 riders came to join the race. In the practices the fastest riders were Guido Testoni (FMI) in 250, Daniel Kronschläger (AMF) in Supersport, Stefano Bonetti (FMI) in Superbike and Josef Frauenschuh (AMF) in Supermoto. On Sunday there were Race 1 and Race 2 on dry conditions. The winners of the round are: Guido Testoni in 250, Rafael Neuner in Supersport, Andrea Gangl in Superbike and Josef Frauenschuh in Supermoto. European Hill Climb Championship at Isola del Liri (Italy)

In the surroundings of the beautiful town of Isola del Liri the fourth round of the European Hill Climb Championship took place in front of around 500 spectators. The event was in a very friendly "Italian" atmosphere, in the same context as the Italian Championship. In the European Championship 26 riders took their start. Free practices were held on Saturday, qualifying practice on Sunday morning. The races took place in two heats for all riders in very hot weather conditions. The winners in the European Championship classes are: Class 250 GP Guido Testoni (FMI), Class Supersport: Davide Lignite (FMI), Class Superbike: Stefano Bonetti (FMI, in the picture), Class Supermoto: Philippe Bongard (FMS). European Hill Climb Championship at Spoleto (Italy) – Day 2

The fifth and last round of the European Hill Climb Championship was held at Spoleto, in Italy. Sunday’s race started with perfect weather and very good track conditions. The morning started with two practice heats, with 17 riders at the start. At 2 p.m. according to the timetable the first race started with 250 class. The winner was Italian Marco Queirolo on Aprilia in front of his compatriot Guido Testoni (photo1) on Honda and of Belgian Bernhard Depierreux on Yamaha. In the Supersport class the winner was Daniele Stolli, from Italy, on Honda, in front of Yuri Storniolo and Filippo Parolin. In Supermoto open class the fastest in race one was Italian Andrea Majola on TM (photo2) ahead of Daniel Bailo and Philippe Bongard. Also the Superbike class was won by an Italian rider: Fabrizio Lanutti on Honda in front of Nicholas Riccardo Rovelli and Francesco Maria Piva. The second

European Hill Climb Championship at Spoleto (Italy) – Day 1

Today at Spoleto (Italy) the first timed practice of the fifth round of the European Hill Climb Championship started, with the track in good conditions. The fastest time in 250 class was set by Marco Queirolo from Italy. In the Supersport class it was Juri Storniolo to sign the fastest time (photo1). The Superbike class was dominated by Francesco Maria Piva with a gap of nearly 2 sec. on Nicolas Rovelli. Also the fastest time in Supermoto Open class was set by an Italian rider: Andrea Majola (photo2). Considering the various classes there are 17 riders at the starting line of the European championship. In the Superbike class the title has already been won by Stefano Bonetti from Italy, with a gap of 52 points on Jean Luc David and the two riders are not present in Spoleto. Road Race Hill Climb European Championship at Le Petit Abergement (France)

The fourth of five rounds of the Road Race Hill Climb European Championship was held at Le Petit Abergement, in France in front of around 1.300 spectators. The weather was cloudy on Saturday, sunny and warm on Sunday, In the qualification heat the Supersport class leader, Francesco Curinga, had a bad crash, but luckly without consequences. In the Superbike class there was a very interesting fight between Stefano Bonetti (I) and Jean-Luc David (F). In each race the gap between these two riders was about 0,1 sec. (in both races the fastest was Bonetti). At the end of the event in France three riders have already conquered the European title: Stefano Bonetti in Superbike, Francesco Curinga in Supersport and Andrea Majola in Supermoto. The three riders are all Italians. The last title, in 250GP, will be assigned in the next round, on August 27th, at Spoleto, in Italy. Full results on FIM Europe website:
