The fourth of five rounds of the Road Race Hill Climb European Championship was held at Le Petit Abergement, in France in front of around 1.300 spectators. The weather was cloudy on Saturday, sunny and warm on Sunday,
In the qualification heat the Supersport class leader, Francesco Curinga, had a bad crash, but luckly without consequences.
In the Superbike class there was a very interesting fight between Stefano Bonetti (I) and Jean-Luc David (F). In each race the gap between these two riders was about 0,1 sec. (in both races the fastest was Bonetti).
At the end of the event in France three riders have already conquered the European title: Stefano Bonetti in Superbike, Francesco Curinga in Supersport and Andrea Majola in Supermoto. The three riders are all Italians. The last title, in 250GP, will be assigned in the next round, on August 27th, at Spoleto, in Italy.
