Preview of the 3rd round of Enduro EC in Latvia

aboutuem
Things are getting serious at the European Enduro Championship: on the 28th and 29th of July 2012 the penultimate round will be held in Ogre in the region of Ikskile (Latvia). The track is going more than 65 km through the forests and of course through the three special-tests, each with its own characteristic. In the cross-test we will have deep sand, in one of the enduro-tests with gravel and stones and the last enduro-test with grasstrack. More than 150 riders from 18 different countries will compete to this challenge, going three times over the whole course. Mainly the northern Europeans, which have the chance to take the lead in two more classes: The Estonian Martin Leok is only two points back to Gianluca Martini in the Junior-E2/E3-Class and the Swede Jonas Karlsson is close behind the Italian Maurizio Micheluz. And it is the question whether the current European-Champion Heike

Preview of the 2nd round of Enduro EC in Estonia

aboutuem
The second round of the Enduro European Championship will be held on the 21st and 22nd July in Paikuse in Estonia, country that for the first time is hosting an international Enduro event. For those who haven't done their homework the ground in the Paikuse area consists of mostly moor and sand, making this the biggest challenge on the trail and specials. This is nothing new for Estonian Toivo Nikopensius, who is not only reigning National Champion, but was also European Champion in the veteran-class two years ago. Supporting him and his fellow-countrymen will be Aigar Leok, the former Motocross star, who is making a guest appearance in the EEC. Leok currently competing in the WEC holding 3rd place in the E3-class with his TM 300 2-Stroke. The big question is who has the ability to stop or challenge the dominating Italians who are leading the provisional rankings of 4

Introduction to the Enduro EC round in Estonia

aboutuem
All quiet before the storm. After the first round in Arsie (Italy) follows a two month break before the next round on 21/22 July takes place in Pairkuse (Estonia). For the first time the Enduro European Championship is visiting the most northern country of the Baltic States, where as to now only Motocross is highly recognized. Despite this fact, riders from Estonia have been showing up in the present standings, like veteran Toivo Nikopensius, Tonu Kallast in the seniors and not forgetting Martin Leok, who at the moment stands in third place in the E2/E3 juniors. The next round will follow a week later (28/29 July) still in a Baltic, only 200 km away, in Ogre near Riga (Latvia). The proximity will make it easier and cost effective for riders to travel from one country to another. But before Leok, Nikopensius and their countrymen can take advantage of home turf,

The first day of the Enduro European Championship was held yesterday in Arsiè, in Northern Italy. In the first day of competition, in the main town square 231 riders started the race at 9.00. Two the special tests: one cross (to cover three times) and one timed enduro test (to cover two times), for a total of five special test. Introduction of the 2012 Enduro EC

no thumb
The Enduro European Championship will start this weekend the 26th and 27th of May in Italy. The Championship consists of four events to be held in Italy, Estonia, Latvia and Slovakia. The two rounds in Estonia and Latvia can be contested on consecutive week-ends, thus making it an ideal stepping-stone for young talents into the international Enduro sport, as well as a platform for the established semi-pros. Fierce competition will be expected as starter-numbers, liaison and special-tests will be on par with the World-championships. A lot of thought and effort has been put into the classes this year. Besides the normal E1 to E3 and the womens' class, there is going to be a veterans' class for the riders over 40 years as well as three juniors' classes. Also there is a strictly E1 as well as a mixed E2 and E3 class and new this year a 125ccm 2-stroke

Record registrations to the 1st round of the Enduro EC

no thumb
The organisers of the first round of the Enduro European Championship, scheduled on the 26th and 27th of May 2012 in Arsié (Italy), informed that until now they received the registration of 235 riders, among them only 50 coming from Italy. The rest is coming from different European countries, also from countries that participate to the Championship for the first time (for example Croatia and Lithuania). This record number of registration to this championship is a further confirmation of the value, also under a promotional point of view, of this event. Furthermore, it is important to highlight that 71 riders belong to the Junior classes, which is a good sign for the future of this discipline. In Arsié will be held also the single round of the UEM Cup of the 50 cc class.
