Three days of Enduro in Krompachy

aboutuem
The fourth and last round of the Enduro European Championship was held in three days this weekend and was a great success. Great organisation, beautiful location and huge participation of riders (129) with nine national teams fighting for the Nations, 8 for the Nations Junior Trophy and 3 for the Veteran Trophy. The track was particularly attractive, with standards similar to a world competition. The Nations trophy was won by Italy, also the Junior Trophy, while the Veteran trophy went to the Czech team. The new European Champions are: E1 Junior: Martin Larsson (SWE, Husaberg) E2/3 Junior: Gianluca Martini (ITA, Beta) Junior U20: Guido Conforti (ITA, Yamaha) E1 Senior: Roni Nikander (FIN, KTM) E2 Senior: Cedric Cremer (BEL, KTM) E3 Senior: Maurizio Micheluz (ITA, Honda) Veteran: Werner Mueller (AUT, KTM) Women: Heike Petrick (GER, KTM) The award ceremony took place immediately after the event with the participation of UEM Vice-president

Introduction to the Enduro EC final round in Slovakia

aboutuem
The Enduro European Championship final will be held from 17th to 19th August 2012 in Krompachy (Slovakia). This competition is formed of three days, with the third and final dayfully dedicated to motocross. The three days will have also an additional Team Championship, similar to the Six Days event. The individual classes, are very interesting too: The favourites are clear, but still nothing is defined right now. For this reason, also the Estonian Aigar Leok, goes back to the start, as he has the last chance to get the overall win and the title of "Overall". In the E3 class, however, the Italian Maurizio Micheluz holds the lead in the championship. In the E2 class lead the Belgian Cedric Cremer, in the E1 class, the Finn Roni Nikander. Krompachy is well known as an organizer in the Enduro scene - various international predicates have been hold there already - this

Preview of the 3rd round of Enduro EC in Latvia

aboutuem
Things are getting serious at the European Enduro Championship: on the 28th and 29th of July 2012 the penultimate round will be held in Ogre in the region of Ikskile (Latvia). The track is going more than 65 km through the forests and of course through the three special-tests, each with its own characteristic. In the cross-test we will have deep sand, in one of the enduro-tests with gravel and stones and the last enduro-test with grasstrack. More than 150 riders from 18 different countries will compete to this challenge, going three times over the whole course. Mainly the northern Europeans, which have the chance to take the lead in two more classes: The Estonian Martin Leok is only two points back to Gianluca Martini in the Junior-E2/E3-Class and the Swede Jonas Karlsson is close behind the Italian Maurizio Micheluz. And it is the question whether the current European-Champion Heike

Preview of the 2nd round of Enduro EC in Estonia

aboutuem
The second round of the Enduro European Championship will be held on the 21st and 22nd July in Paikuse in Estonia, country that for the first time is hosting an international Enduro event. For those who haven't done their homework the ground in the Paikuse area consists of mostly moor and sand, making this the biggest challenge on the trail and specials. This is nothing new for Estonian Toivo Nikopensius, who is not only reigning National Champion, but was also European Champion in the veteran-class two years ago. Supporting him and his fellow-countrymen will be Aigar Leok, the former Motocross star, who is making a guest appearance in the EEC. Leok currently competing in the WEC holding 3rd place in the E3-class with his TM 300 2-Stroke. The big question is who has the ability to stop or challenge the dominating Italians who are leading the provisional rankings of 4

Introduction to the Enduro EC round in Estonia

aboutuem
All quiet before the storm. After the first round in Arsie (Italy) follows a two month break before the next round on 21/22 July takes place in Pairkuse (Estonia). For the first time the Enduro European Championship is visiting the most northern country of the Baltic States, where as to now only Motocross is highly recognized. Despite this fact, riders from Estonia have been showing up in the present standings, like veteran Toivo Nikopensius, Tonu Kallast in the seniors and not forgetting Martin Leok, who at the moment stands in third place in the E2/E3 juniors. The next round will follow a week later (28/29 July) still in a Baltic, only 200 km away, in Ogre near Riga (Latvia). The proximity will make it easier and cost effective for riders to travel from one country to another. But before Leok, Nikopensius and their countrymen can take advantage of home turf,

First day of European Enduro in Arsiè

no thumb
The first day of the Enduro European Championship was held yesterday in Arsiè, in Northern Italy. The town of Arsiè is not far from Belluno, in a plain surrounded by mountains in the north of Lake Corlo, an artificial lake created in 1954 blocking the Cismon river along the slopes of Monte Grappa for the production of electrical energy. In the first day of competition, in the main town square 231 riders started the race at 9.00. Two the special tests: one cross (to cover three times) and one timed enduro test (to cover two times), for a total of five special test. It was a day to remember for Italian enduro, as Italian riders won in seven of the nine classes: In the E1 Senior Alessio Paoli (250 4T Suzuki) imposed himself in front of the Polish Szuster Michael (TM 250 4T) and the German Andreas Beier (KTM 250
