European Moto2 and Superbike at Albacete (Spain)

Steven Odendaal (RSA-Kalex, in photo1) dominated Moto2™ while Maximilian Scheib (CHI-BMW, in photo2) and Carmelo Morales (SPA-Yamaha) each took a win in Superbike. Moto2™In Moto2™, Steven Odendaal (RSA-Kalex) made good on his pole position to achieve his fourth win of the season, followed by Tetsuta Nagashima (JPN-Kalex) and Alan Techer (FRA-NTS T Pro). Starting on the front row of the grid for the first time, Iker Lecuona (SPA-Kalex) eventually finished fifth behind Eric Granado (BRA-Kalex) with Augusto Fernández (SPA-Tech3), who set off third, falling early on while in second place behind the championship leader.In the podium ceremony, the South African AGR Team rider was awarded the Repsol free fuel cheque.With more than half the season completed, Steven Odendaal has consolidated his lead of the Moto2™ European Championship, with 136 points compared to Tetsuta Nagashima’s 88 points and Eric Granado’s 85. EMX 65 & EMX 85 NE and Open at St. Petersburg (Russia)

The EMX 65, 85 North East zone and EMX Open European Championship was held this weekend in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, in extremely hot weather conditions.On Saturday the 74 riders in 3 classes participated to the qualifications. In EMX 85 Estonian Meico Vettik snatched the pole position. He was followed by Russian Svyatoslav Pronenko and by Latvian Kristians Freimanis. In EMX 65 the championship leader Eduards Bidzans did the pole position. He was followed by Russian Kirill Vorobyev and by Latvian Aleksis Araids.In Open class the pole position was taken by Russian Semen Rogozin, who was followed by his compatriots Ivan Baranov and Alexandr Efimov.The race day was held on Sunday, the races were held on a well prepared track.EMX 85The first heat was won by the yesterday’s poleman, Estonian Meico Vettik. FIM Europe Congress at Kavala (Greece) – Day 2

Above, the Road Safety Conference, with FIM Europe Second Deputy President Silvio Manicardi speaking The second day of FIM Europe Congress was held today at Kavala (Greece). As scheduled, the Management Council was held, so as the Meetings of the Commissions and Panels. In the afternoon, the Road Safety Conference took place, which was very successful, with big attendance of delegates and media.The day ended with the traditional meeting of the Secretaries General, where various issues were discussed, like insurance and licences. FIM Europe Secretary General Alessandro Sambuco informed about the next tour of FIM Europe Club in the area of Stockholm, in Sweden.Tomorrow the Congress will live its third day and the program will start with the Sporting and Non-Sporting Council Meetings, followed by the Management Council. FIM Europe Congress at Kavala (Greece) – Day 3

The 22nd FIM Europe Congress in Kavala (Greece) finished successfully today with the Meetings of the Sporting and Non-Sporting Councils, the Management Council as well as the General Assembly in the afternoon. There were 36 National Federations present and over 220 delegates. Important decisions were taken, among them the approval of the 2015 Balance-sheet, of the 2016 Budget. Comprehensive reports have been presented about the Sporting as well the Non-Sporting activities.The General Assembly approved the bid of the French Motorcycling Federation to organise the 2018 FIM Europe Congress in the city of Nantes.During the General Assembly there was the report of Mr Martin de Graaff, chairman of the Working Group on Minimum Age for International Motorsport. 1) Motocross of European Nations / Women's Motocross of European NationsUnfortunately the Motocross of European Nations/Women's Motocross of European Nations scheduled for September/October will not be held this year. This is due to logistical reasons. It is certainly foreseen to have this event on the calendar for 2017. 2) European Supercross ChampionshipThe promoter, Off Road Pro-Racing, has announced that this will be a one-event Championship on Saturday 22nd October 2016, at Arnham, in the Netherlands. All other dates and venues are cancelled. 3) EMX 300From 2017 the EMX300 2 Stroke Championship will not be combined with the MXGP/MX2 events. Therefore applications are invited from Federations to organise rounds of this growing championship. The EMX 300 Championship can be combined with EMX 65/85 zone rounds or with EMX Quad events or even as stand-alone rounds combined with national championships. The FIM Europe Congress kicked off today in Kavala, Greece, with the scheduled meetings of the Sporting and Non-Sporting Commissions. In the Sporting Commission relevant issues were discussed with the Chairmen of the various Commissions. The reports of the latest activities of all disciplines were analysed at the presence of FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb, of FIM Europe 1st Deputy President and Chairman of Sporting Council Martin de Graaff, of Michal Sikora, FIM Europe Treasurer and of FIM Europe Honorary President Dieter Junge.  During the meeting Jean-Paul Gombeaud, FIM Acting Sports Director was present and underlined the full cooperation and communication with FIM Europe and the common efforts of FIM and FIM Europe for the growth of all disciplines. European Bajas at Pordenone (Italy)

Pordenone, in Italy, hosted the second round of the European Bajas Championship, with 23 participants: 6 motorcycles, 11 quads and 6 UTVs. In Day1 the fastest rider was Italian Ivano Zaccheo, who finished in front of Pedro Bianchi Prata, from Portugal and Rudolf Lhotsky from Czech Republic. In the Quad class the winner was Josef Machacek from Czech Republic before Polish Pawei Otwinowski and Gennadii Bobok from Ukraine.In Day2 Pedro Bianchi Prata won in front of Ivano Zaccheo and Rudolf Lhotsky. In the Quad class the winner was Bogdan Zyrin in front of Iaroslav Tovstyk, both from Ukraine, and of Pawei Otwinowski.

European Women and Youth Trial at Krzeszowice (Poland) – Day 2

Second day in Miekinia, near Krzersowice, Poland and third round for European Youth and Women Trial championship. The competition was forced to stop in the second loop due to the heavy rain which was threatening the safety of the riders, because the condition of the sections deteriorated very quickly. It represents a historic decision because it had never happened that one trial event was stopped because the weather. According to the regulations it was possible and it was declared valid the result of the first loop. Winners happened to be the same of Saturday. Brit Jack Peace (Gas Gas, photo 1) had a smooth lead on Italian Lorenzo Gandola (Scorpa, photo 2): 6 points against 7.
