EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship:
Central Europe zone round 2 together with the EMX Women’ European Championship
After round one in Belgium, the EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship – Central Europe zone moved to Slagelse, Denmark, for the second event of the season.
As in Lommel, in the first 85cc race Dani Heitink (Husqvarna), Jarne Bervoets (KTM), and Dean Gregoire (KTM) fought for victory until the very last lap. Bad luck for the Belgian rider in Race 2: after a great fight for the lead until minute 19, Bervoets had technical problems and went back to 5th, missing the podium. First position for Gregoire ahead of Heitink and Dex Kooiker (Husqvarna).
In the 65cc double victory for British Harry Dale (KTM), who in Race 1 won in a lights-to-flag ahead of Teunis Spijkeman (Gas Gas) and Luca Nierychlo. In Race 2 second position for Torre Van Mechgelen (KTM) and third for Nierychlo.
The race in Slagelse also saw the first round of the EMX Women’ European Championship.
Lotte van Drunen (Kawasaki) celebrated a double start-finish victory ahead of Sara Andersen (KTM) and Mathilda Maria Huss.
