European Pairs Speedway Final at Lonigo (Italy)

The European Pairs Speedway Final was held at Lonigo (Italy) in front of 1800 spetactors in a sunny day. Nineteen riders were present, representing 7 teams. Poland-Italy  It was an entertaining meeting with a lot of close racing and several passes, especially in the first half of the meeting. Poland won the 2017 Pairs Championship dominating the meeting. The runner-up place went to Russia while France climbed on the last step of the rostrum. Russia-Poland The hosting Country Italy finished at the fourth place with Covatti scoring 12 points out of 15 of the total of the team. European Superstock 1000 and Supersport at Magny Cours (France)

In Superstock 1000 European Championship qualifying on Saturday afternoon at the Pirelli French Round it was Roberto Tamburini (PATA Yamaha Official STK 1000 Team) who took pole with a 1’40.205 lap. The Italian will be joined on the front row by compatriot Federico Sandi (Berclaz Racing Team) and Australian rider Mike Jones (Aruba.it Racing - Junior Team). Frenchmen Florian Marino (Pata Yamaha Official STK1000 Team) and Jeremy Guarnoni (Pedercini Racing) qualified fourth and fifth respectively for their home race, with Italy’s Luca Vitali (Nuova M2 Racing) set to slot in behind them on row 2. Maximilian Scheib (Nuova M2 Racing), Illia Mykhalchyk (TripleM Racing) and standings leader Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Aruba.it Racing -Junior Team) are on the third row, whilst Marvin Fritz (Bayer -Bikerbox Yamaichi) completed the top ten to head row 4. European Endurance at Oschersleben (Germany)

Winners
The last round of the European Endurance Championship was held at Oschersleben, in Germany with a total of 50 Teams, of which 10 participating to FIM Europe Stocksport and SuperTwin classes. The race was held with nice weather without rain and 20 degrees on Saturday. The winner of the 6 Hours of Oschersleben in the Stocksport class was the team of Aprilia Grebenstein from Germany. with Ralph Uhlig, Oliver Skach, Andreas and Jurgen Scheffler (in the photo). Second position for the BW77 Endurance, from France with Stephane Bednarek and Mikael Poteau, ahead of Box #44 Racing, from Germany, with Peter Weiß, Alan Agogue and Lutz Abram. The winner of the series in Champion Endurance Stocksport is Aprillia Grebenstein Team ahead of French teams Sky Moots Vitesse and BW77 Endurance. The FIM Europe Road Racing Commission has always believed in the charming power of this series and will pay extra attention in

European Supermono Cup – The future

The future of the European Supermono is unclear. After 23 years the European Supermono class seems to end. The European Supermono Association (ESA) has decided not to organize any FIM Europe races for next year due a lack of riders. The European Supermono Cup for single cylinder racers was founded by Sir Alan Cathcart in 1995 and since 2002, the European Supermono organization (ESA) has been responsible for organizing the competition. In the past, manufacturers such as MuZ and Ducati built dedicated racing bikes to participate to the series. "To make it financially break even, there must be at least 25 entrants per race, but unfortunately we are not gettting that number since a long time, while we need to vouch financially towards circuits for these amounts. Supermono European Cup final at Frohburg Dreieck (Germany)

The sun was shining through the clouds and it was a bit chilly on Friday morning. From the start of the first qualifying, the riders were fast. Lukas Wimmer from Austria was the fastest rider both in qualification 1 and 2 and took the pole position almost a second ahead of his fellow countryman Josef Frauenschuh; third place for Jerry van de Bunt from the Netherlands. Race 1 - The weather had changed from qualifying sessions and the track was wet. At the start of the race Josef Frauenschuh from Austria took the lead and build up a gap ahead of his countryman Lukas Wimmer. But only a few laps from the end of the race, Josef couldn’t keep his bike on the track at the last corner, and he lost 3 places. Lukas Wimmer was in the lead, and he kept that position until the end of the race.

European Under 21 Team Speedway Final at Krosno (Poland)

The meeting of the Individual U21 Team Speedway Championship was originally scheduled on August 19th but it was postponed because of heavy rain after heat five. On Saturday September 16th, due to heavy rain that lasted till midday the practice scheduled for 10.00 was cancelled. After some heavy work the organising club KSM Krosno managed to prepare a raceable track for the meeting. In a fully crowded stadium, attractive rides from Speedway upcoming riders were held. The Polish U21 team confirmed their role of favorites for winning the team title but the contest for the European U21 team title was hard. The fight for the second place was decided in the last heat. The final results of the meeting see Poland winning with 45 points, ahead of Denmark scoring 35 and of Latvia, with 33 points. European Superstock 1000 and Supersport Cup at Portimao – Day 2

The Superstock 1000 European Championship race on Sunday at the Prosecco DOC Portuguese Round concluded five laps early due to a red flag, with the victory being taken by Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing). Pole man Florian Marino (Pata Yamaha Official STK1000 Team) and Maximilian Scheib (Nuova M2 Racing) were classified in second and third respectively as the race results were taken from the rider positions at the end of the ninth of 14 scheduled laps. The red flags were shown due to a technical problem for Marino which saw smoke bellowing from his Yamaha machine at just over two thirds of the race distance. At the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao Mike Jones (Aruba.it Racing - Junior Team) and Jeremy Guarnoni (Pedercini Racing) registered top five results, in fourth and fifth respectively. European Moto2 and European Talent Cup at Jerez (Spain) - Day2

In the sixth round of the FIM CEV Repsol in Jerez (Spain), which was witnessed by 14,000 spectators during the weekend, Ricky Cardús (Team Stylobike) won in Moto2™ and Andreas Pérez (Reale Avintia Academy, in the photo) and Francisco Gómez (Team Larresport) were victors in the European Talent Cup. Ricky Cardús (Team Stylobike) nabbed a five-point lead in the Moto2™ European Championship by beating Eric Granado (Promoracing) in the only Moto2™ race at Jerez. The Team Stylobike rider, who had dominated the qualifying sessions, took the lead from the start and was followed by Eric Granado (Promoracing), Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS), Lukas Tulovic (Forward Junior Team), Steven Odendaal (NTS Sportscode T.Pro) and Dimas Ekky (Astra Honda Racing Team). In the Superstock 1000 European Championship on Saturday at the Prosecco DOC Portuguese Round it was Florian Marino (Pata Yamaha Official STK1000 Team) who took pole, doing so by just a +0.02s from Australian rider Mike Jones (Aruba.it Racing - Junior Team). Behind the leading pair in a tight session Roberto Tamburini (PATA Yamaha Official STK 1000 Team) was just 0.189s off pole in third place. All of the riders qualifying on the second row, meanwhile were close by in terms of times compared to Marino’s 1’44.936 pole lap. Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) was fourth by just 0.226s, followed by Maximillian Schieb (Nuova M2 Racing) who was just over 0.25s from P1 and Jeremy Guarnoni (Pedercini Racing) – who trailed by just over three tenths from Marino.
