Opening of the Enduro European Championship

The 2013 Enduro European Championship will start on the 27th and 28th of April in Bussi sul Tirino (Italy). Since today the organisers received registration entries by 182 riders, among whom 10 for the FIM Europe Cup 50 cc., 10 for the Women and, for the first time, 2 Ukrainian riders. The Enduro Commission chairman, Marco Bolzonello, expressed great satisfaction for the high number of registration, in particular among Junior riders. The organisers, thanks to the support of the promoter Wolfgang Butzner and of the Tourism Office of the Pescara province, did their best to guarantee the success of the event, which presents an extremely competitive track that was defined by the former world champion Mario Rinaldi, after a detailed inspection, as worthy for an European level event. Superstock 600cc European Championship in Aragon

As several protagonists of the past season stepped up to Supersport World Championship and numerous young talents from European Junior Cup (including 2012 Champion Lukas Wimmer) and national championships arrived, the European Superstock 600 Championship gets underway with a new mix of riders ready to fight over the 9 rounds in calendar. Close racing was the main factor of yesterday’s first race of the year at Alcañiz MotorLand Aragón. Pole man Gauthier Duwelz (MTM Racing Yamaha) gets a hard-won victory after a breathtaking 10-lap race on the 5344 m Spanish venue. It's the maiden win for the 19 year old Belgian, who was able to take advantage of the tough four-way battle behind him, eventually making a small mistake towards the end of the race that allowed his rivals to close the gap down to 1 second. The first round of the Road Racing Hill Climbing European Championship was held this weekend in Landshaag (Austria). First round of EMX65 and EMX85 South-Western Europe in Albaida (Spain)

The first Event in the European Championship 65cc and 85cc South-Western Europe Zone was held today 14th of April on the well prepared track of Albaida (Spain). In the 65cc class the first heat was won by Russian Nikita Kucherov in front of Spanish Oliver Oriol and Spanish Jorge Ramos. The second heat was won by Spanish David Braceras with second position to Italian Alessandro Facca and third Nikita Kucherov. The 85cc class was dominated by Italian Gianluca Faccetti who won both heats. He was followed in the first heat by Italian Filippo Grigoletto and French Ludovic Bompar. In the second heat second position went to Italian Alberto Forato and Filippo Grigoletto. Next round of the South-Western leg of the Championship will take place in Castiglione sul Lago (Italy) on the 28th of April. (UEM Press Release 20/2013)

Start of the EMX125 European Championship in Arco di Trento (Italy)

The EMX125cc 2stroke Motocross European Championship started this weekend in the Italian track of Arco di Trento. In the first heat the winner was Latvian rider Pauls Jonass (KTM) in front of Swedish Anton Lundgren (KTM) and Dutch Calvin Vlaanderen (KTM). In the second heat Pauls Jonass confirmed his strength winning the race in front of Anton Lundren and Dutch Frederik Van der Vlist (Yamaha). The RR Hill Climbing European Championship is back !

Joe Genoud, former Swiss rider and great enthusiast of uphill competitions, after the success of last year of the « Joe Genoud Challenge », decided to extend his reach by becoming the promoter of the RR Hill Climbing European Championship. The agreement was reached with FIM Europe for the next three years with the objective to revive this championship, which saw its last edition in 1975. This year edition will be divided in 4 rounds: Landshaag (Austria) 13-14th April Imperia (Italy) 15-16th June Châtel-St Denis (Switzerland) 29-30th June Villers-sous-Chalamont (France) 20-21st July The organisers of the first round in Austria received registrations for more than 200 riders, as a further demonstration of the interest surrounding this initiative. In front of such an enthusiastic response, Genoud expressed his maximum satisfaction and confirmed all his efforts to give a new live to this, often neglected, discipline. Start of EMX65 and EMX85 North-Western Europe in Heerde (The Netherlands)

The first Event in the European Championship 65cc and 85cc North-Western Europe Zone was held today 7th of April on the well prepared track of Kamperweg / Heerde (The Netherlands). Sunday started with the race for non-qualified riders and the fastest rider was Frederik Røste (Norway) and second was Bastian Bogh Dam (Denmark) and on the third place came Lucas Sandby Ankjær (Denmark). In the first race in the 85cc class was the fastest rider Conrad Mewse (Great Britain) followed by Jorge Prado Garcia (Spain) and on the third place came Glen Meier (Denmark). Also in second race was Conrad Mewse (Great Britain) the fastest with Jorge Prado Garcia (Spain) on the second place, and Kim Savaste (Finland) on the third place. The fastest rider in 65cc class race one was Anton Nagy (Sweden) on the second place Emil Weckman (Finland) and on the third place Raivo Dankers (The Netherlands).

EMX65 and EMX85 South-Eastern Motocross in Gevgelja (Macedonia)

The second round of the South-Eastern Europe leg of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championships was held this weekend in Gevgelja (Macedonia). The training Saturday was very difficult because of rain and, and a lot of water on the Track. In the first race 65cc was Tommaso Bertotto (Hungary) the fastest rider with Dimitar Petrov (Bulgaria), on the second place, and Kristof Jakob (Hungary) on the third place. Second Race in the 65cc class was Adam Kovacs (Hungary) the fastest and number two was Dimitar Petrov, and on the third place came Benedek Kadar (Romania). The first race in 85cc class was Robert-Chrisztian Tompa (Romania) fastest, with Luka Crnkovic (Croatia) on the second place and Ivelin Gospodinov (Bulgaria) on the third place. Start of the EMX65 and EMX85 South-Eastern Motocross in Pomorie (Bulgaria)

The South-Eastern Europe leg of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championships started this weekend the Bulgarian motocross track of Poroy, located near the Black Sea's coastline city of Pomorie. The track was greatly prepared and the riders were in for some action, powered by the cheers of a huge turnout of fans! In the first heat of 85cc class Romanian Robert Tompa (Suzuki) swept the win by a considerable distance while Bulgarians Ivelin Manev (KTM) and Ivilin Gospodinov (KTM) setteled for second and third. Second heat of 85cc had the same scenario, Romanian Robert Tompa (Suzuki) managing to get up in front and claim first place. Although this time Croatian Luka Crnkovic (KTM) took second while Bulgarian Ivilin Gospodinov (KTM) finished third again. Romanian Robert Tompa (Suzuki) wins the overall and starts the Championship with maximum points (50), while second and third places are tied to fourty points each
