EMX65 and EMX85 Finals at the MXGP Festival in Matterley Basin (Great Britain)

After the regional qualifying races the final rounds of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championships were held during the MXGP Festival in Matterley Basing (Great Britain). In the EMX65 winner of both races was Dutch rider Raivo Dankers (KTM), who managed to become the new European Champion. Following in the rankings (all with 34 points) Spanish David Braceras Martinez (KTM), respectively 7th and 3rd , Italian Kevin Cristino (KTM), respectively 5th and 4th, and Finnish Emil Weckmann (KTM) 3rd and 7th. In the EMX85 class, the new European champion is British Conrad Mewse (KTM), who managed to win all the heats. Second position goes to Danish Glen Meier (KTM), who managed to get respectively 3rd and 2nd. Third overall position goes to Italian Gianluca Facchetti (Suzuki) with 38 points thanks to his 4th and 3rd position.   (FIM Europe Press Release 134/2013)

EMX125 and EMX250 rounds at the MXGP Festival in Matterley Basin (Great Britain)

During the MXGP Festival were held also the 7th round of the EMX125 and 7th round of the EMX250 Motocross European Championships. In the EMX125 class, the victory went to Latvian Pauls Jonass (KTM) in front of French Nicolas Dercourt (Yamaha) and German Henry Jacobi (KTM). The provisional rankings see the leadership of Pauls Jonass with 193 points in fron of Nicolas Dercourt. With only one round to go, Jonass is the new 2013 European Champion in this class. In the EMX250 class, Swiss Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki) won the round in front of home rider Steven Clarke (KTM) and Swiss Valentin Guillod (KTM). Guillod maintains the first position in the provisional rankings with 164 points, followed by Jeremy Seewer getting closer, with only one round to go, with 152 points. Final round for EMX125 and EMX250 classes are scheduled the 8th of September in Lierop (The Netherlands).   (FIM Europe

First day of the Enduro European Championship in Uhlirske Janovice (Czech Republic)

At the third competition of the Enduro-European-Championship in Uhlirske Janovice / CZ the Italian Maurizio Micheluz won the overall in front of his country people Gianluca Martini an Andrea Beconi. – For this three different classes and three different brand of bikes (Suzuki, Beta, Yamaha) are on the top position! Overall winner Maurizio Micheluz (Suzuk) won with a huge gap also the E1-class in front of the Portuguese Luis Oliveira (Yamaha) and the German Edward Hübner (Yamaha). The overall-second Martini won the E3-class too – in front of his countrymen Jacopo Cerutti (TM) and Mirko Gritti (KTM). The third in the overall, Beconi (Yamaha), won the E2-class in front of the british rider Jamie Lewis (Honda) and the Frenchman Romain Dumontier (Yamaha). Final Speedway U21 European Championship in Güstrow (Germany)

The 2013 Final in Speedway U21 was held on 24th August in Güstrow, Germany. More than 3000 spectators have seen a very well organized meeting in the beautiful stadium of Güstrow. The club had his 50. anniversary this year and the European Final was the sportive highlight in this important year. Victory could only be taken after 20 exciting heats and an additional run-off by the Danish rider Mikkel Michelsen. Second place was taken by the favorite of the meeting, Andrzej Lebedevs from Latvia. For the first time in history of French track racing, David Bellego from France was on the podium of a Speedway European Championship and the Jury President of this Final, Christian Bouin, was very pleased about. Semifinal of Sidecar European Championship in Bad Hersfeld (Germany)

The semifinal of the Sidecar European Championship was held yesterday in the German track of Bad Hersfeld in Germany. The winning pair was British: Simon Beard/Anthony Goodwin, followed by two German teams (Markus Venus/Markus Heiß and Markus Brandhofer/Tim Scheunemann). The MXGP Festival is the pinnacle of motocross in the United Kingdom and for the British fans, there is nothing better than witnessing one of their “own” take home their first ever international race victory. British youngster Albie Wilkie turned out to be the crowd pleaser here in Matterley Basin, when he battled his way from a fourth place start to take victory here at round three of the EMX150 European Championship. Introduction to the 3rd round of the Enduro EC in Czech Republic

The European Enduro Championship is going to the next round: on the 24th and 25th of August starts the third heat of the championship in Uhlirske Janovice (Czech Republic). Daily three laps with three special-tests are waiting for the riders in the hills and forest only 60 km southeast from Prague. More than 180 competitors from 17 (!) different countries already registered. In the championship the Italian Maurizio Micheluz is leading in front of the English Tom Sagar. Last round of Trial EC in Boras (Sweden)

Swedish Eddie Karlsson (Jtg), British Iwan Roberts (Gas Gas) and Dutch John Van Veelen (Ossa) , the other European champions, after the last round of the UEM FIM Europe Trials Championship, disputed in Boras, Swedish town, well known for the textile industry. Karlsson clinched the title , but Italian Luca Cotone (Gas Gas) beat him on his home terrain: at last Cotone succeed in staying ahead of the champion. After loosing the battle for a while either in Italy or in Norway, he got his revenge, beating the rival by just a couple of cleans. This time Karlsson built his success – that was the final crown – starting very concentrate. He was leading at the turning point with 7 points. Cotone, scoring 12, was just behind. The third round of the Dragbike European Super Street Bike (SSB) Cup was held this weekend in Kundamara (Hungary). The race was well organized by the S-Riders Kft. Hungary. EMX125 and Honda EMX150 European Championship in Bastogne (Belgium)

With temperatures quite a bit colder than yesterday and a sky withholding thick cloud cover, the sixth round the EMX125 European Championship and the second round of Honda EMX150 European Championship kicked off today at the grass roots style circuit of Bastogne, Belgium. In the EMX125 class, Wilvo Nestaan JM Racing KTM’s Pauls Jonass was back to his dominating ways. The speedy Latvian led Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Brian Hsu and Frenchman Nicolas Dercourt across the finish to take his fifth EMX125 round victory of the year. The Latvian star took the early lead and went on to lead every lap for his fifth ‘Final’ race victory of the season. Only three seconds back from Jonass was the young German, Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Brian Hsu.
