EMX 65 85 European Championship: South East zone   On April 16-17 the track of Sevlievo, Bulgaria, former MXGP venue, was the host of the first round of the 2022 EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship South East zone under the organization of the Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation (BMF). If the weather conditions were good on Saturday for practices and qualifying races, on Sunday’s races there were heavy rain. EMX65 Race 1 saw Bulgarian rider #24 Georgi Ginov (HUSQVARNA) led all the race just in front of Romanian #28 Mark Szoke-Eross (HUSQVARNA), who tried to find a way pass but was unable to do it. Interesting battle for third place as well, between Turkish ride #112 Efe Okur (KTM) and Romanian rider #21 Sami Dumitru (KTM), who finished third and fourth less than two seconds apart. EMX 125 European Championship and EMX Open European Championship: Fueri and Tropepe win second round of EMX125 and EMX Open in Trentino Rounds two of the EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing and EMX Open Championships have concluded in Pietramurata with Fantic Factory Team Maddii’s Alexis Fueri and Millionair Racing Team’s Giuseppe Tropepe taking to the top step in their classes for the round of Trentino. Fueri had the perfect weekend, celebrating a lot of firsts, including first race win, first 1-1 scorecard, first overall victory and first time leading the EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing championship. Meanwhile Tropepe enjoyed his own success, winning in front of his home crowd here in Italy as he celebrated his first win in the EMX Open category. EMX250 European Championship: Elzinga unbeatable in Portugal The second round of the EMX250 Championship has concluded in Agueda, Portugal. It was a fantatsic day for Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing’s Rick Elzinga who claimed maximum points and celebrated his first 1-1 of the 2022 season, as well as extending his championship lead over Fantic Factory Team Maddii's Cornelius Toendel. In race one, it was Meico Vettik with a great start ahead of Elzinga and Yago Martinez, as a few riders hit the gate. Martinez then crashed, as Elzinga closed in on Vettik for the lead and by the end of the lap took control of the race. Elzinga then led Vettik, Camden Mc Lellan of TBS Conversion Racing Team, Lucas Coenen of Jumbo Husqvarna BT Racing and Eddie Wade of 9MM Energy Drink BUD Racing, though Wade came under fire from Mc Lellan and Marcel Stauffer as both riders went by on the Brit. EMX 65 and EMX 85 European Championship: 2022 calendar update The FIM Europe, together with the Motocross & Snowcross Commission, would like to inform of the update made to the 2022 racing calendar of the EMX 65 and EMX 85 European Championship. The NW EMX65/85 zone round scheduled on 2-3 July at Velke Uherce, Slovakia, will now include a round of the NE EMX65/85 zone to replace the event that has been cancelled in Ukraine. Record entry list for the 2022 Yamaha YZ bLU cRU Cup Record number of riders have registered to contest the Yamaha YZ bLU cRU Cup in 2022! 395 young riders will race Yamaha's YZ65, YZ85 and YZ125 motocross bikes in 21 countries across Europe, as they compete for a place at the prestigious YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale, which will take place this year at the MXGP of Charente Maritime in St Jean d’Angely, France from the 19th-21st of August. The Yamaha YZ bLU cRU Cup has increased in popularity season on season. 2022 promises to be more competitive than ever with the number of entries increasing by 20% compared to 2021 and riders registering from countries as far afield as Australia and Paraguay. Maggiora, in Italy, will host a new date on 7-8 of May for the EMX250 and EMX Open riders as third and fourth rounds of the series. EMX 250 European Championship Elzinga secures the overall win at the round of Lombardia The EMX 250 European Championship riders have completed the opening round of the series in Lombardia, with Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing’s Rick Elzinga victorious. The Dutchman leaves Italy with the red plate, ahead of Fantic Factory Team Maddii duo of Cornelius Toendel and Haakon Osterhagen. In EMX250 race one, it was Mike Gwerder of WZ Racing Team who was flying out of the gate and led the way. Behind him was David Braceras from Team VRT KTM Veritise, Raf Meuwissen of Raf’s Motorsports, Marcel Stauffer of Sturm STC Racing Team and Andrea Bonacorsi from Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing. Stauffer then crashed out of fourth which allowed Bonacorsi and Rick Elzinga of Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing through, but Bonacorsi’s charge to the front did not last long as a battle with Cornelius Toendel of Fantic Factory Team

EMX 125 and EMX Open European Championship Valk and Sandner top the EMX podium in Great Britain The opening rounds of the EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing and EMX Open categories have concluded with overall victories from Fantic Factory Team Maddii’s Cas Valk and Michael Sandner of Raths Motorsports. The European Championship riders were treated to two days of perfect conditions which made for some great racing that featured plenty of excitement and close battles. EMX250 and EMX Open European Championships Cancellation of the MXGP of MFR The FIM Europe, together with Infront Moto Racing, announces that due to the current situation it’s not possible to hold the MXGP of MFR set to take place on 30th April - 1st May in Orlyonok. Therefor the Russian rounds of the EMX250 and EMX Open European Championships are cancelled. The local Organizer has been informed.
