EMX125 European Championship round of Spain venue announced! FIM Europe and Youthstream are very pleased to announce that the brand-new venue of intu Xanadú in Arroyomolinos (Comunidad de Madrid) will host the second round of the EMX125 European Championship on the 18th-19th April 2020! After a one-year break from the calendar, the Spanish Grand Prix will be back for the next three seasons, and this season will head to the hard pack track at intu Xanadú, located just 22km from the center of Madrid. This will be the first time that the European Championship will land in Madrid and that has been made possible thanks to the support offered by the Community of Madrid, the Vice Ministry of Sports, the Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation and the Madrid Motorcycle Federation. MX of European Nations and Women's Motocross of European Nations: Team Italy and Team Netherlands victorious in Poland for the MXOEN and WMXOEN The 2019 Motocross of European Nations has concluded at the Gdansk circuit here in Poland. Team Italy rode their way to victory as they defended their title once again, and in the women’s category, Team Netherlands finally took that all important victory! The weather in Poland was a mixture of rain and sunshine, as riders battled it out in all weather and track conditions for pride and glory for their country. A total of six races took place this weekend starting off with the Women’s Motocross of European Nations and finishing off with the EMX125/250 race, with the EMX85 in between. 2019 Motocross of European Nations Entry Lists FIM Europe and Youthstream are happy to release the entry lists for the FIM Europe’s 2019 Motocross of European Nations and the Women’s Motocross of European Nations held this weekend on the 5th and 6th of October in Gdansk, Poland! This will be the third consecutive year that Poland will host the MXoEN, following the success of the previous events. EMX 2T European Championship: Mike Kras is the new champion The MXGP of Afyon, Turkey, hosted the final round of the EMX2T championship presented by FMF Racing where Ecomaxx Fuels’ Mike Kras not only won the day, but was also crowned 2019 EMX Champion. The Dutchman went 3-1 for the victory and finished just one point ahead of Verde Substance KTM team’s Brad Anderson, who went 2-2 for second overall, and second in the championship. Third in the championship was Todd Kellett. Team JK Racing Yamaha’s Manuel Iacopi, who took the opening race win in the class, but could not finish the second race while in second place, still managed to finish third overall with 1-6 results. EMX 250 European Championship and EMX 125 2T European Championship: Van De Moosdijk and Guadagnini take their EMX Championship! Uddevalla was the field where the final rounds of the EMX250 and EMX125 presented by FMF Racing championships were decided as both titles went down to the wire as a handful of riders fought for victory. Run over Saturday and Sunday the racing was very unpredictable with both champions taking their titles without winning the overall or a race on the weekend. In the EMX250 Championship it was F&H Racing Kawasaki’s Roan van de Moosdijk who took the championship with a solid third place overall in Sweden with 2-6 results. The overall winner in Sweden was Honda Redmoto Assomotor’s Stephen Rubini with 3-2 and finishing second in the championship. Third overall in the championship was Team Maddii Racing Husqvarna’s Alberto Forato who finished with 7-1 results for second overall for the weekend. EMX 2T European Championship: the penultimate round in Imola In the opening EMX2T championship presented by FMF Racing race on Saturday it was Iacopi who took the holeshot, and led Pier Filippo Bertuzzo, Kras, Andrea Gorini, and Deghi into the first lap. Anderson was back in sixth place and tried to work his way past riders to get to Kras. By lap three Kras had moved into second place while Anderson was struggling in eight place after a mistake. Race 1 carried on and Iacopi continued to lead throughout the race, Deghi moved into second on lap 14, and Kras held third, while Anderson had moved up to fifth position. Iacopi won the first EMX race of his career by nine seconds on Deghi, with Kras third. EMX 250 and EMX 125 European Championship: Van De moosdijk and Laengenfelder master Lommel The EMX250 and EMX125 presented by FMF Racing raced the sixth round in Lommel at the MXGP of Belgium, and once again it was the sand masters who came out and showed amazing skills around one of the toughest circuits in the World. F&H Racing Kawasaki’s Roan van de Moosdijk is the king of the sand in the EMX250 class, going 1-1 and taking the points’ lead in the series standings heading to the next round in Sweden. The Dutchman was a level above his competition as he clocked lap times bunch of seconds quicker than the other EMX250 riders, Creymert Racing’s Kevin Horgmo was second overall and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory’s Mikkel Haarup third. EMX 65 / EMX 85 European Championship: the final in Loket Bidzans and Marek are EMX85 and EMX65 Champions! The hillside circuit of Loket witnessed the future of motocross in action as the Finals of the European Championships EMX65 and EMX85 were held together with the premiere classes. Racing was nothing less than impressive with Latvian Edvards Bidzans catching the top step of the podium and local hero and 65cc World Cup winner Vitezslav Marek being crowned EMX85 and EMX65 European Championship respectively. EMX Open European Championship: season finale in Ukraina The last round of the EMX Open European Championship took place this weekend in Kiev, Ukraina. Good weather conditions in the morning and heavy rain in the afternoon welcomed the eight riders in fight for the season finale. Thrilling battle for the third place between local hero Oleh Kruk and the Matej Jaros. The 4-point lead Ukrainian lost 2 points in the first race. However, he was able to fight back in the second race under much more difficult conditions and to secure third place in the championship.
