New Sporting and Technical Rules for European Moto2™ and Superbike Championships

The sections of the Moto2™ European Championship and Superbike European Championship sporting regulations that have been modified are numbers 1.18.14, 1.19, 1.21.3 and 1.29.1. European Supersport Cup at Imola (Italy)

The second round of the European Supersport Cup was held at Imola, in Italy. As usual, the riders shared the grid with the World Supersport riders. Shortly after the start the race was redflagged because of the crash of Gamarino and of the oil lost from Krummenacher’s motorcycle. The second start was for a 11-lap race. The Italian rider Alessandro Zaccone (in the photo) was very close to the leading group and was again the fastest rider forming part of the FIM Europe Supersport Cup, with the San Carlo Team Italia rider coming home in P5 to head the ESS challenge.On the podium with Zaccone, Mikhalchick, from Ucraine, on Kawasaki of DS Junior Team, and Bassani, team mate of Zaccone in San Carlo Team Italia. Fourth position for Stirpe in front of Metcher.

EMX65, 85 and ITP EMX Quad Championships at St. Isidorushoeve (The Netherlands)

Liam Everts, winner in EMX 65 It was a good weekend for European Motocross in St. Isidorushoeve, The Netherlands. On Saturday the track was still a bit wet because of the rain of the days before but throughout the weekend the track got better quickly. The EMX65 class was dominated by Liam Everts from Belgium, who won both races. The second place went to Dutch rider Ivano van Erp and the third was for Brit Charley Heyman. Emil Jonrup, winner in EMX85 In the EMX85 class it was Swedish rider Emil Jonrup who won both races, followed by Danish Rasmus Pedersen and by Finnish Matias Vesterinen. EMX 125, 250 and 300 Championships in Kegums (Latvia)

The start of EMX 250 @Youthstream The second rounds of the European Championship EMX300 presented by FMF Racing and EMX250 were joined by the opening round of the EMX125 presented by FMF Racing this weekend in Kegums, Latvia, where Bodo Schmidt Motorsports Thomas Kjer Olsen took his first overall victory of the season in the 250 class, while Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Yentel Martens took his second consecutive overall win in the EMX300 presented by FMF Racing and Sahkar Racing KTM’s Jago Geerts dominated the opening round of the EMX125 presented by FMF Racing. EMX 250The circuit of Kegums has a deceiving nature. It looks soft and loamy but underneath its hard and choppy with massive braking bumps and sharp acceleration bumps. European Individual Speedway Championship in Debrecen (Hungary)

On Saturday 30 April 2016 a good crowd of over 2000 spectators watched an exciting event in Hungary. Debrecen hosted in fact the Individual European Championship Semi Final 1, the season opener in Track Racing.Only 4 riders out of 16 from this round would qualify for the European Challenge on May 25th in Olching (Germany).Due to weather conditions of the day before - it was raining all day long - the track was a bit wet in the beginning and needed an extra track maintenance in between, but it got better an better. It was a tight meeting, with hard fights and close finishes in a nice and warm Saturday afternoon.At the end of 20 heats a run off was needed for the first 3 podium places and for the 4th qualifying place. European Supermoto Championship in Albaida (Spain) - Day 2

Albaida (Spain) 1 May 2016 – After the cancellation yesterday, this morning was an early start for the riders with the S2 timed practicesin Albaida on the raceday. In very sunny and warm conditions it was  Suzuki Grau rider Petr Vorlicek who set the fastest time before fellow countryman Sitniansky and Promutico. In Lap 3 TM Factory rider Diego Monticelli had a crash in time practice and dislocated his shoulder, which ended his weekend.All weekend Suzuki Grau rider Petr Vorlicek showed his was the fastest rider on the track in Albaida. Also in Race 1 he took the holeshot before fellow countryman Milan Sitniansky and the rest of the field. Inside Motorsports Yamaha rider John Stambeck had a very good start following Sitnianksy closely on 3rd place but during the race he was losing some places. European Supermoto Championship in Albaida (Spain)

Albaida (Spain) 30 April 2016 – At the Circuito de la Vega the second Round of the S2 Championship is held this weekend. Under the supervision of the very good organisation in Albaida, the big crowd enjoyed the practices in unexpected sunny conditions. In S2 it was current championship leader Petr Vorlicek (in the photo) who was fastest. After the races in Jerez it was no surprise that Suzuki Grau rider Petr Vorlicek was the fastest rider in the first free practice of the S2 class in Albaida. The Czech rider created an advantage of almost 0.5 seconds on second rider Yamaha Inside Motorsport Kevin Fagre. Third in the first free practice was TM Sbd Giovanni Bussei. In free practice two it was again Petr Vorlicek who the fastest pace, but the advantage on second rider Giovanni Bussei was smaller and promises a strong battle in the time practice. Third

European FMC Championship in Munich (Germany)

On Saturday night, 11 riders from 6 nations stormed the Bavarian capital for the sixth Night of the Jumps, which also counts as the 3rd round of the European FMX Championship for 2016.  But the night didn’t only belong to the two wheel daredevils, with the Austrian Gerhard Mayr bringing the first backflip in a 650kg buggy to Munich in front of 10,000 spectators.   For the local derby the two German Ackermann brothers went at it. Older brother Hannes was the fourth rider in the qualification round to start, showing his Egg Roll, Hart Attack Flip and 360 Nac-Nac.
