EMX 125 and 250 at Lommel (Belgium)

The Lommel, Belgium, circuit hosted FIM Europe’s classes of EMX125 presented by FMF Racing and EMX250 for this weekend’s round of Belgium alongside the FIM Motocross World Championship classes of MXGP and MX2. Maddi Racing Husqvarna’s Mattia Guadagnini and REVO Husqvarna UK’s Mel Pocock took full advantage of the opportunity to win this weekend and took their respective overall victories. The world class event was a massive and challenging stage for the nearly 200 riders entered into the EMX classes yesterday and today. Lommel is known as one of the most testing sand tracks in the world even for seasoned World champions. Coming into the weekend 100 riders were entered into the 125 class alone with another 91 in EMX250. All photos ©Youthstream The FIM Motocross World Championship was in Loket for the MXGP of Czech Republic but crowning champions are the classes of EMX85 and EMX65 along with the Czech round of EMX300 presented by FMF Racing. Taking the title as 2018 European Champion was Camden Mc Lellan in EMX85 and Brando Rispoli in EMX65 while Mike Kras won the Czech round of EMX300 presented by FMF Racing. The Loket circuit provided epic conditions for the riders with overnight rain watering the track perfectly. The EMX classes took advantage of the conditions with amazing racing in front of the thousands of motocross fans lining the massive hillsides. Youthstream announces a modification to the recently released provisional 2019 MXGP FIM Motocross World Championship calendar. The venue of the MXGP of France scheduled for the 16th of June 2019 has been updated to TBA (to be announced). The provisional calendar remains otherwise unchanged and the current version can be viewed below with the update.

European Women’s Motocross Championship Medal Ceremony

Following the cancellation of the final round of the Women's Motorcross Championship, the Chairman of FIM Europe Motocross & Snowcross Commission, Mr. Eddie Herd, is delighted to announce that the medal ceremony will now take place on the SkyBox podium on 16th September at the MXGP in Assen, with the kind permission of Youthstream. This event has the FIM WMX class together with MXGP and MX2 and it is planned to have the medal ceremony on the Sunday morning following the WMX winner's ceremony. The WEMX winners are as follows: Gold - Sara Andersen of Denmark (in the photo) Silver - Shana Van Der Vlist of the Netherlands Bronze - Mathea Selebo of Norway. For the 125 2 stroke class the winners are:- Gold - Lyn Valk of the Netherland Silver - Malou Jakoben of Denmark Bronze - Kirstine Valledsen of Denmark.

2019 Motocross European Championship Provisional Calendar

Now into the second half of the 2018 season the buzz for the 2019 MXGP season has begun. In addition to the recently announced MXGP of Hong Kong and the MXGP of China Youthstream proudly releases the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship Provisional Calendar. For the first round the European Championship will return to Great Britain’s Matterly Basin circuit, head straight to Valkenswaard for the MXGP of the Netherlands, then continue south to the MXGP of Trentino at Pietramurata. The teams will then prepare for the second fly away trip with back to back races in the massive Asian market at the MXGP of Hong Kong and the MXGP of China on Wednesday the 1st of May. EMX65/85 North West Zone and European Women’s Championship at Markelo (The Netherlands) – Cancellation

«FIM-Europe and the KNMV regret to inform all riders entered for the final round of the EMX65/85 North West zone round which also is the final round of the European Women's MX championship this coming weekend in Markelo, is cancelled», states Eddie Herd, Chairman of FIM Europe Motocross and Snowcross Commission. «This is due to a "code red" being issued by the fire authorities on a large area around this part of The Netherlands because of the very dry and hot weather. The KNMV tried to find a replacement venue at short notice but the "code red" covers a large area. This means that the NW zone standings after Sverepec are now complete and invitations to compete in Loket will now be sent out by Youthstream to all top 10 riders from the 4 zones. This cancellation also applies to the European MX Women's championship riders and therefore the championship

EMX65, EMX 85 NE and EMX Women at Strykow (Poland)

The beautiful track of Strykow in Poland hosted the third round of the 2018 EMX Women European Championship and the last round of EMX 65 and EMX 85 North East zone. Around one thousand spectators gathered around the track to welcome and enjoy their favorite riders and feel the spirit of the race. The weather, despite all forecast and rain, turned out to be perfect during the whole weekend. Even though the organizer did a massive job to maintain the good quality of the track. On Saturday Danish rider Sara Andersen did an outstanding job at the Qualifying Race in EMX Women and was in the leadership the whole time. Just right behind her was Shana Van Der Vlist from The Netherlands with around 12 seconds from Sara. The third place was taken by Mathea Selebo from Norway. EMX 65 and 85 SE Zone and Open at Globare (Serbia) – Day 2

EMX 85 Hungarian rider Pergel Bence lead from start to finish to win in Race 1. He was followed by Croatian rider Luka Kunic and Marios Kanakis from Greece. The same podium was repeated in race2. The overall winner of the day is Bence Pergel ahead of Marios Kanakis and third Patrik Ujcic. Overall SE Zone winner is Patrik Ujcic, second is Luka Kunič, third Bence Pergel. EMX 65 Israelian Ofir Casey Tzemach did the hole shot and started to lead the race. Soon he made a mistake and finished in last place. Zoltan Ordog took the lead and won Race 1 in front of Dino Loncar and Simun Ivandic. Simun Ivandic did the hole shot in race 2 and soon created a gap ahead of Zoltan Ordog. EMX 65 and 85 SE Zone and Open at Globare (Serbia) – Day 1

In Serbia on the track of Globare the first day of EMX 65/85 SE Zone and EMX Open class was held. All practices and qualifying races were run on cloudy, windy weather EMX 85 - Hungarian rider Pergel Bence was the quickest rider in the qualifying race in the last event of the season. Greek Mario Kanakis finished second. Both were followed by Croatians Patrik Ujcic and Luka Kunic fighting for third place. Patrik Ujcic was fastest in this duo and finished third. EMX 65 - Romanian rider Zoltan Ordog and Israelian Ofir Casey Tzemach were fighting for win in qualifying race. On the finish Ofir Casey Tzemach won in front of Zoltan Ordog and Dino Loncar finished third. EMX 250 at Ottobiano (Italy)

The Fiat Professional MXGP of Lombardia hosted fantastic racing but the Ottobiano round of the EMX250 championship provided perhaps the most intriguing races with its ultra competitive field. Taking the Overall victory via two strong races was ASTES4-TESAR Yamaha’s Roan Van De Moosdijk. Spread across two days of racing the class was filled with talent. Saturday’s early timed sessions and Last Chance Race provided us with a 40 man gate for the championship points paying races. With several Italians in the mix the fans onsite were just as interested and vocal for the pair of EMX races. Saturday’s Race 1 gave us the first taste of who could handle the sand and heat of Ottobiano but today’s Race 2 was ultimately the deciding factor.
