On a very well prepared track in a nice surrounding near to the City of Strakonice we had this weekend under best weather conditions the 5th round of European North-West Group Qualification in the 2 Youth Classes EMX65 and EMX85 as well as Round 6 of the European Open Class. On Sunday the summer entered Just in time with blue sky and temperatures over 20° C!
In the EMX65 race 1 holeshot went to Rasmus Pedersen. He was leading the whole race (as all training sessions) and won this 1. Heat with big distance in front of Noel Nilsson. Also positions 3 to 5 were not changed over total race ttime. 3rd got Nikita Kucerov (RUS with MUL licence), 4th Ben Hess and 5th Constantin Piller, both Germans. In heat 2 holeshot went again to Rasmus Pedersen. He was leading again the whole race and won the 2. Heat with a distance of more than 20 sec. In front of Russian Kucherov and Noel Nilsson as 3rd. In EMX85 race 1, Spanish Prado Garcia Jorge, leader of this NW Qualifying Group, did the holeshot and won again this first race in Jinin. He took the lead and didn’t give it away any more, finally won with big distance. Italian Facchetti was in the first half on 2nd position, than lost one and another place against Jago Geerts (BEL) and Kim Savaste (FIN). Ad the end Geerts was 2nd, Savaste 3rd and Facchetti 4th in front of van de Moosdyik (NED), 5th. In heat 2 holeshot went to Kim Savaste, Finnland. Savaste from then on was leader over the total time and won.Prado Garcia had not a Top start and was 7th afte lap 1. He came up continuously and got 2nd at finish! Geerts being 2nd in lap 1, got 3rd in front of Denish Haarup. Than Italian Facchetti, who started as 3rd, lost 5 positions, and at the finish he got still 5th position. In EMX Open holeshot has been done by Tschech Frantisek Smola. After Lap 1 Smola came back as leader in front of Bartos, Robozin Romancik, Finek and Tyletsky. The only changes at racetime were: Romancik got 3rd position and Robozin fell back on 5th position. In heat 2, holeshot has been done again by Tschech Frantisek Smola. After Lap 1 Smola came back as leader in front of Robozin, Romancik, Weschta, Bartos and Finek. At half time Bartos was allready in 3rd position but had a small touch and fell back to 6th place. Romancik also got problem in the middle of the race time. The shackered flag saw Smola as first, Bartos followed as 2nd and Wechta got 3rd in front of Cepelak, Finek and Rogozin.
Next and final round of the EMX65 and EMX85 NW will be held in Senkvice (Slovakia) on the 29th of June. The same date and venue for the next EMX Open round.
