Superstock 600, KTM Junior Cup and Two Nations Cup in Misano

The Italian track of Misano Adriatico hosted this weekend the Superstock 600 cc. European Championship, held yesterday, and the KTM Junior Cup and the Two Countries Cup, held today

The 4th round of the Superstock 600 cc Road Racing European Championship was held yesterday at Misano World Circuit (Italy). The race was won by the Dutch Michael Van der Mark (Honda) in front of the Italian Riccardo Russo (Yamaha). The leader of the Championship Russo tried to obtain a considerable gap during the early laps, but Van der Mark who is in the second place in the general rankings was able to keep up with him and overtake him at previous lap to the last. From that moment on a fair but at the same time thrilling battle took place until the chequered flag was waved. The Race was won by the Dutch rider and Russo arrived in second position even if he tried to overtake Van der Mark until the last turn. Russo is at the head of the Championship followed by Van der Mark with only a gap of 2 points.

The second round of the KTM European Junior CUP was held today and the winner was Austrian rider Lukas Wimmer with a great gap from the second Spanish Christian Vidal and Australian Giuseppe Scarcella.

The fifth round of the Superstock 600cc EC and the third round of the KTM Junior Cup will be held on the 30th of June on the Spanish track of Argon.

The first round of the Two Countries Cup was held today and the winner was Italian rider Leonardo Leuthe Biliotti (ITA) and the second Denis Sacchetti (FMI) and Alessia Polita (FMI). Next round will be held on 22nd July at Brno Circuit (Czech Republic).
