Double win by Gajser in the EMX 125cc in Agueda

The Slovenian Tim Kaiser won both heats of the third round of the 125cc 2 stroke Motocross European Championship held today in Agueda (Portugal). The track conditions were tougher for the young riders due to the rain, but it did not stop Tim Gajser (KTM) to dominate the first heat of the race, arriving in front of Dutch Calvin Vlaanderen (KTM) and Norwegian Magne Klingsheim (KTM). Tim Gajser took the holeshot of the second heat and easily opened a big gap with his pursuers. The Slovenian rider crossed the finish line 47 seconds ahead of the second classified James Dunn (KTM) and obtained the third overall round victory of the season. The provisional rankings see the leadership of Slovenian Tim Gajser with 150 points, followed by Italian Davide Bovini with 106 points and Dutch Calvin Vlaanderen with 102 points. Individual Speedway Junior EC Semi-Final 2 in Ukraine

The Chernovograd (Ucraine) track hosed yesterday the 1st of June the Semi-Final 2 of the Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. The victory went to the Polish rider Kacper Gomolski, who imposed himself on the Ukrainian Kiril Tcukanov and Lativan Andrejs Lebedevs. The Semi-Final 3 is scheduled on the 7th of July in Holsted (Denmark). Team Speedway Junior EC Semi-Final 2 in Opole

The Semi Final 2 of the Team Speedway Junior European Championship was held at Opole on 7th June 2012. The winner was the Danish team, and together with the Polish team second classified will participate to the Final scheduled the 8th September 2012 in Landshut (Germany). The meeting was very well organised by the KZ Kolejarz Opole and there were some very exciting heats with fair fights of junior riders. (UEM Press Release 61/2012)

The Circuit of Albacete will host the UEM Road Racing EC in October

For the fifth consecutive year, the Circuit of Albacete will set the stage for the UEM European Championships to be held on the 6th and 7th of October 2012. The contest, organized by the UEM and RFME, will give an opportunity to win European titles in the Moto3TM/125GP, 600 Supersport and Superstock 1000 categories. In addition that weekend there will be junior titles awarded in the first two categories for entrants aged 20 years and under. As in previous years, the top five national champions of Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Netherlands are entitled to participate. Also permitted will be the top four Champions of Nordic, Eastern Europe and the Alpe-Adria region. The other participants will be elected by the Organization after studying the applications received as specified in the regulations. The deadline for registration is September 23rd. Second round of Junior, S3, Open Supermoto EC in Pleven

A bright sunshine and summer temperatures welcomed last weekend all the participants of the second round of the 2012 UEM European Championship Supermoto in Pleven (Bulgaria). The event has been characterized by a very good number of riders, especially in the Junior Class with 22. In SM Junior Class, perfect race and victory for the Bulgarian rider Hakan Halmi (KTM) who took pole position on Saturday and two first places on Sunday, on the second place of the podium we found the Turkish red plate Harun Cabuk (HONDA) who collected two second positions in both the heats followed by the Bulgarian rider Veselin Ivanov (HONDA) with two third places. The provisional leadership of the Championship remain in the hands of Cabuk but just with a vantage of 6 points on Halmi. Start of the Drag Bike EC in Santa Pod

The Dragbike European Championship started last weekend in Santa Pod (Great Britain). In the Top Fuel Bike class, the winner was British Ian King (Puma Yamaha), followed by Swedish Richard Gustafsson (Suzuki) and Swedish Nils Lagerlof (Suzuki). In the Super Twin class, Canadian Nate Gagnon (Weekend Nitro) won the race in front of Dutch Job Heezen (Zodiac) and Finnish Samu Kemppainen (Carpino). The Pro Stock Bike class was won by Swedish Kalle Lyren, followed by Swedish Ulf Ogge (Buell) and Finnish Fredrik Fredlund (Suzuki). In the Super Street bike British podium with Graham Balchin (Kawasaki) in first position, Chris Reed (Suzuki) in second and Richard Stubbins (Suzuki) in third. Results of NW EMX65 and EMX85 in Halle

The third round of the North Western EMX 65 and 85cc Motocross European Championship was held yesterday in Halle (The Netherlands). Sunday morning the rain started and got stronger, but during the first 2 races it stopped for a while. In the EMX65 class, in the first race Netherlands young Brian van der Klij (KTM) did the hole shot in front of Swedish Rasmus Häkansson (KTM) and Danish Bastian Boegh Damm (KTM). Already in second lap Häkansson could overtake van der Klijs and that was the positioning until finish in lap 7: First Häkansson, second van der Klij and third Boegh Damm. In the second heat, in the hole shot Brian van der Klij in front of R. Häkansson and R. Meuwissen (KTM). Van der Klij and Häkansson did a start to finish race as first and second. Third got again Bastian Boegh Damm and forth Dutch Raivo Dankers (KTM)
