European Junior Cup serves up more Dutch delight

Round two of the 2015 Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda, took place at the famous Assen circuit in the Netherlands today with Javier Orellana taking his second win of the season in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd. Supporting round four of the World Superbike championship, the EJC protagonists produced another thrilling spectacle with 28 identical Honda CBR650F machines doing battle for 10 laps of the iconic 4.542km circuit.Orellana led home a three-rider breakaway but, once again, by a narrow margin, beating pole sitter Hannes Soomer by 0.2s with Emanuele Pusceddu scoring third as he did in the opening race at Aragon in Spain one week ago.With back-to-back wins, Spaniard Orellana now heads the points standings with a margin of 18 points over Pusceddu with Soomer just one point behind in third.In the FIM Europe Women’s European Championship, last weekend’s winner Avalon Biddle crashed out of the

European Motocross  Championship First Round in Trentino (Italy) – Day 2

The first rounds of the 2015 European Championship EMX250 and EMX125 took place at one of the most striking locations on the MXGP calendar this weekend. Shadowed by the stunning Dolomite Mountains and in close vicinity to Lake Garda, the clay based traditional styled circuit in Pietramurata always attracts thousands of hysterical fans from all areas of the world, which provided an amazing atmosphere for the young riders who by racing the EMX championships are dipping their toes in the world of professional motocross.This weekend two young French riders in the form of Bud Racing Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Maxime Desprey and Kemea Yamaha Yamalube’s Maxime Renaux stood top of the box in the EMX250 and EMX125 respectively. European Open 65 cc will race with the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship

European Motocross  Championship First Round in Trentino (Italy) – Day 1

The European Championships EMX250, EMX125 and EMX150 started today in Pietramurata (Italy) . After a day of practice and qualifying, all three classes rounded out the day with their first runs at championship points. In the EMX250 it was a run-away performance for Bud Racing Kawasaki Monster Energy’s Maxime Desprey who led the race from start to finish while the battle , Honda 150 behind him was a little more epic. While the entire race was wheel-to-wheel, Wilvo Forkrent KTM’s Adam Sterry managed to wrap up second just ahead of J-Tech Honda Racing’s Nick Kouwenberg. Meanwhile in the EMX125, KTM Kosak racing’s Glen Meier was quick to snatch the lead from the young Spaniard KTM Factory Junior’s Jorge Prado Garcia who ended up making a few mistakes and dropping back to fourth. European Superstock 600 Championship and European Junior Cup in Assen

The third round of the FIM Europe Superstock 600cc Championship, held at the iconic Cathedral of Speed that is the TT circuit in Assen was won after a long fight among five riders. At the end the winner was  Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) who maintained his 100% winning record in the series. The youngster, who arrived to the championship thanks to the help of Kenan Sofuoglu, took his 3rd race win of the year (4th of his career) by 0.680s ahead of Michael Rinaldi (San Carlo Team Italia) and Niki Tuuli (Kallio Racing) who completed the podium.Hugo Clere (MG Competition) claimed a career best 4th, just missing out on a podium finish, whilst Julian Puffe (MTM – HS Kawasaki) had a lonely final part of the race to finish 5th – his best ever result.The top 6 was completed on the final lap by local rider Rob

European Honda 150 MX Championship The Experts’ Experience for the Youths: a video

Last month’s FIM Europe training camp for the Honda 150 European Championship in Albaida (Spain) provided a chance for the riders to familiarise themselves with the four-stroke CRF150R and saw the final selection take place. On hand to help guide and support them were several members of the Honda Racing family: British motocross champion Gordon Crockard, Pata Supersport rider Kyle Smith, Team HRC MXGP rider Gautier Paulin and multiple Honda world champion Jean-Michel Bayle. In addition, FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb and other experts from the FIM Europe analysed fitness, riding style and mental attitude to assist in providing an all-encompassing youth development package.The latest video from the Honda 150 European Championship focuses on the experience that these individuals had while mentoring the 11-14 year olds in Albaida.
