Round 2 of the EMX125 Championship presented by FMF Racing has been recorded today at Trentino, Italy, circuit of Pietramurata. With thousands of Italian motocross fans lining the track fences and 97 entries into the class for the weekend Italy’s own Emilie Scuteri was able to put together a winning performance. In Saturday’s race one we saw a textbook performance from KTM DIGA Junior Racing’s Emil Weckman (photo 2) who took the lead off of the start and stayed in front each of the 15 laps. Behind Weckman a battle kicked off between Emilio Scuteri (photo 3( and Mieco Vettik. Scuteri had second position to his name the first lap but the following 6 laps Vettik led the Italian. Spanish riders started very well on their home soil: Martin Riobo (Gas Gas, photo1) and Berta Abellan (Vertigo, photo2) topped Youth and Women classes in Castelloli, Spain, during the first round of the 2018 European Trial Championship. The event was held in the road racing circuit, which 10 years ago had hosted the FIM World Championship. There were 14 sections to repeat twice for the 78 riders at the start. Figures are very good for trial, which can continue to grow up only having a lot of young riders. Two classes for women and two for young riders consent them to approach this discipline easily, choosing the level they feel more adequate. The second round of European Quadcross will be held in the upcoming weekend at Castelnau de Levis, in France following to the first races in Oss, The Netherlands. In the first appointment of the season the fastest rider was the home-rider Mike Van Grinsven, who won both races and leads the series with full points. Second position in the general standings for Davy De Cuyper from Belgium, who gained a third and a second place in the two races. On the podium of the first round, also Joe Maessen from The Netherlands, who managed to finish race1 in second position but did not go further the sixth place on Race2.  

The 27th edition of the FIM Europe Trial Championship will start at Castelloli, Spain, the upcoming weekend, with races both on Saturday and Sunday. A 5-rounds series that will award titles in the categories Europe, Junior, Over 40, Women and Youth. In Castelloli the event will be held inside a road circuit near Barcelona, which had already hosted the last round of the 2008 Trial World Championship. On Saturday the Youth and Women series will be on stage, while on Sunday it will be the turn of the most blazoned classes. In preparation of the Russian round of the Motocross World Championship MXGP in Russia from 29 to 31 March the international training and sports seminar "FIM Europe MX Academy" was held at Orlyonok, for instructors (coaches) and athletes. The seminar was attended by specialists from different regions of Russia, ready to learn from the world experience in the organization of the training process, to be train­ed and receive an official certificate. Among them, there were 36 coaches and 26 riders, and the youngest of them was only eight years old. On the first day of the seminar, the coordinator and coach of MX Academy Martin Van Genderen told the Russian specialists about the development of a new system of classification of coaches and athletes, comparing it with obtaining belts of different colors in karate. The final round of Superenduro Cup was held in Lidköping in Sweden, where the German rider Tim Apolle arrived as the leader of the general standings with 15 points of advantage on the other riders. All photos ©Robert Pairan Already in the qualifying Apolle was nearly 4 seconds faster than his rival Andris Grinfelds from Latvia, who followed him in the series. In the first heat the German rider gained the leadership at the start and already after one lap he had to fight with the first slow riders. But Apolle kept cool and safe and won the race. His advantage grew to 18 points – not enough for the title, but a comfortable gap, while Grinfelds was fighting from ninth position to second place. In the second heat, with reversed start, there was the inevitable traffic jam at the first obstacle.
