European Supersport Cup 300 at Poznan (Poland) – Day 2

Also on Sunday the Polish track welcomed the riders with sunny weather and 28 degrees. From the beginning to the end three riders battled for the victory. The first two ended the race with a difference of only 0,003 sec at the finish line, with Simon Lukas from Czech Republic (photo1) winning ahead of Taric van der Merwe from South Africa (photo2). EMX Quad European Championship at Cieszyn (Poland)

The city of Cieszyn, in the beautiful county of Silesia, in Poland, hosted the fourth round of the EMX Quad European Championship, with the best riders of the Continental series at the start. The panoramic view of the motocross track attracted more than 4000 spectators in the whole weekend. On Saturday practice and qualifying race took place in good conditions and sunny weather. Second position for Estonian rider Kevin Saar ahead of Harry Walker from Great Britain. The surface of the track on Sunday was prepared by the CKM Club Team Members and was good after track maintenance and evening watering. European Trial Women and Youth at Krzeszowice (Poland) – Day 1

Another triumph for Spanish riders in the second round of the FIM Europe Youth and Women championship, held near Krzeszowice, in Poland. Berta Abellan (Vertigo, photo1) doubled the initial success at the first round in the Women class, while Pol Medinya (Beta, photo2) found his first win in the Youth class, after a convincing fourth place in the previous round. Fine weather in the small area of Miekinia, 4 km from the main town where 14 long sections to be repeated twice were fitted for the entering 54 riders.         Berta Abellan started her race with a high concentration and discouraged her rivals delivering her first card at the end of the first loop with only 5 mistakes. All expected a sort of reaction from the two-times European champion Theresa Bauml (Montesa) but she was not at her ease neither in this second round for the 2018

EMX65 and EMX 85 Championship SW Zone at Fernao Joanes (Portugal) – Day1

The fourth and last round of EMX SW Zone EMX65/85 European Championship started in cloudy, windy weather at Fernao Joanes with 52 riders: 28 in class EMX 65 and 24 in EMX 85. The weather condition in the morning and all day was windy and cloudy. For qualification races it was sunny. The track was really well prepared. Qualification race winner of class EMX 65 was Spanish rider Francisco Garcia, 10,69 sec ahead of Italian Patrick Busatto and 13,55 sec ahead of French rider Jules Pietre. The first lap in class EMX 85 was lead by Pablo Gutierrez Solis, but in few laps Spanish Raul Sanchez Garcia took the first position and won the qualification race. Second position for Italian Matteo Luigi Russi, 3,69 sec ahead of French Saad Soulimani, 14,83sec behind the leader.

Today the qualifying practice and Race 1 of European Supersport Cup 300 were held at Poznan, in Poland, in the context of the second event of the Alpe Adria International Championship at TOR Poznan. On Friday the two free practices for European Supersport 300 Cup were held under good weather conditions. Today the qualifying practice ended up with the pole of Balint Gyor from Hungary. Second place for Taric Van Der Merwe from South Africa and Simon Lukas. The race ended after a very close struggle between Van Der Merwe and Lukas, who passed below the checkered flag with a gap of 0,3 seconds after 11 laps. Third place for Lennart Ulbel. Tout Terrain European Cup in Greece

The second round of the Tout Terrain European Cup is being held in Greece. In the context of the Hellas Rally, which sees 285 entries, 46 riders take part to the European Cup. The event started on Monday 21st and is scheduled to finish on Sunday 27th. FIM Europe at the MBA Motorsport-Management Master in Germany

This weekend at the Nürburgring one of three weekends scheduled for the current semester was held by the MBA Motorsport-Management organized by the Kaiserslautern/Zweibrücken University (Germany). The Master's objective is to provide students with detailed knowledge of marketing, financing, sponsorship, leadership in motorsport and contract law. The lesson on Saturday morning saw the lecture of FIM Europe Secretary General Alessandro Sambuco on “Motorcycling in the International Sports Organization”. The lesson, which continues the collaboration started by FIM Europe with the two Universities of Kaiserslautern and Roma “Foro Italico” has offered the opportunity to the Master's students to make a focus on Motorcycling, given the almost total specialization in Car Racing. European Trial Championship in Poland – Preview

After the first round held in Castelloli over 1 month ago, the FIM Europe Youth and Women Trial Championship is back in the upcoming week-end. The 2nd and 3rd round are scheduled in Miekinia, 4 km from Krzerzowice, Poland. It is a quite famous venue, become almost a fixed appointment held every 2 years. Thanks to a small area completely closed to traffic, the local club can fully satisfy the main purposes of this event - reserved to women and the very young boys. It means that even those who have not yet the right age to get a regular riding license in their country, are allowed to compete with trial motorcycles. Not only, but Krzerzowice offers a huge benefit also to public, because they can watch the whole competition, simply walking from one section to another, all in not more than 10 km squared. Enduro European Championship at Bacau (Romania) - Day2

The Day2 of the second round of Enduro European Championship was held today at Bacau, in Romania. Despite the rain at night, the track was probably even better than the day before. In addition, there was not so much dust, which had partly led to visibility problems on the first day and the ground was partially more handy. The leader of the overall championship, Italian Alessandro Battig, took his revenge. Yesterday he had lost a lot of time in the difficult uphill, where he had to push and fight, but things went smoothly for the Kawasaki rider today. Already in the first special-test of the day he was able to set the fastest time.
