European Enduro Championship in Rüdersdorf (Germany) – Day 2

The conditions for the Enduro-European-Championship in Rüdersdorf (East of Berlin) today have been perfect: the weather was not too warm but sunny enough to provide  grip to the riders.

The three courses of over 60 kms foresaw three special-tests which meant more than 1 hour test-time.
The first title was decided in the morning, when the Yamaha of the E1 rider Jonathan Rossé from Switzerland had an electric failure in the very first test. Rossé could not finish and gave the Italian Maurizio Micheluz the chance to defend his title in the E1-Class. Which he did, even if local rider and wild card Edward Hübner gained the win of the race in front of the Husqvarna-rider Micheluz.
Also in the E2-Class we already have the new European champion: the Brit Tom Sagar did not only win the E2-Class, but the Overall as well. With this result the KTM-rider defended his title in the class and battled the Overall-title too.
In the E3-Class the Swedish Martin Sundin did not grasp the title: too many mistakes throw him back into fourth place today. But his rival Radek Toman did even worse, with the seventh place, so that tomorrow they will still struggle for the title again.
Veteran Werner Müller from Austria took today his ninth title. The KTM-rider was unbeaten the whole season long.

No champions, yet, in the three junior-classes.
In the junior-E1-class the leader Nicolas Pellegrinelli was injured and had to abandon. The winner of the day was David Abgrall from France, who now is second in the championship, only three points behind the new leader Patrik Markvart.
In the class of the youngest riders, the Under-20, the victory of Mirko Spandre from Italy gave him many points, but not the title, yet.
The same happened with Jeremy Carpentier in the Junior-E2/E3-class: the French rider was third in the overall, he won in his class, but for the title he still needs five points.
