Start of the EMX 250cc EC in St Jean D’Angely

The first round of the EMX 250 Motocross European Championship was held in St Jean d’Angely (France) during the world MX series event.

Monster Energy Yamaha’s Pocock has become the first leader of the 2012 UEM EMX250 championship after wining the two heats in Saint Jean d’Angely. Yesterday the British rider got a really tight victory ahead of home rider Maxime Desprey, but today he succeeded in taking the lead during lap four and he kept the lead until the chequered flag. The British rider was speechless after the second heat and he is fully determined to keep the red plate on his Yamaha until the end of the season.

The second position was for Swiss rider Jeremy Seewer, who finished third in both heats. The Suzuki MX Team 91 rider has made a solid debut in the championship after finishing third last year in the UEM EMX125 series, and he is for sure one of the riders to take into account for the top positions of the championship.

Danish rider Stefan Olsen completed the podium of the EMX250 class with just one point advantage over Ullrich. Yesterday the Jtech Racing rider did not have a good start but he managed to finish fourth. Today he had a better start and he rode a consistent heat in the fourth position.

Next round is scheduled on the 15th of July in Kegums (Latvia).
