Second day results of the Enduro EC in Antans (Spain)

fim europeThe overall-victory at the second day of the enduro-european-championship was for Tom Sagar: The British rider had to quit at the first day and had to change the motor of his KTM. But with the 20 points at the second day live becomes a little bit more easy for him: “In the penultimate test I had a crash and lost some time – so I wasn’t sure, if it will be a good end at all.”

Second in the overall was his fellow countryman Jamie Lewis in front of the first-day-winner Maurizio Micheluz, who will still lead the championship. Also in the E1-Class Micheluz is leading with his Suzuki, because he won the second time – just in front of the french Kevin Rohmer, who let Jack Rowland with his Husqvarna go onto third place. The E2-Class was the Class of Tom Sagar, who won in front of Jamie Lewis like in the Overoll. But Lewis is leading in the championship in front of the third of the day, the Czech Andrej Helich.

The Italian Jacopo Cerutti won on his TM the E3-Class in Front of the yesterdays-winner Julien Jagu with KTM. Therefore the championship is undecided in this moment. Clearly in Lead is Werner Müller, who did his concurrent clearly distanced with a lead with more than two minutes: With his time he would have been on the 34th position in the overall, or fifth in the E2-class!

„Chosen the 350 KTM instead the big 500 was the right decision: specially in a difficult stage a big bike is a big challenge. ”

Audrey Rossat from France won the ladies-class in front of the Italian Cristina Marrocco and the Fin Martia Nyqvist. This means Rossat is 8 points ahead in the championship.

The only 19 years old Junior Steve Holocombe from the juniors-E1-class ist not only leading his class, but also in the overall on the third place!

For several reasons the competition was cut to two laps, but in the morning they did additional the long special-test in the dry river, which is directly located to the town.

At the end all riders have been thankful and impoverished – two days in nearly endless stones did not only took the power – it gives a lot of pain and crashes

The next round of the Championship is scheduled on the 31st May and 1st of June in Bacau (Romania).
