Road Race Hill Climb European Championship at Poggio Vallefredda (Italy)

Class 250 EC Testoni Guido low

The sixth and last round of the European Road Racing Hill Climb Championship was held at Poggio Vallefredda, in Italy, in a sunny day. The event was valid also for the Italian Hill Climb Championship and 172 riders were  present at the start, with the organization of Moto Club Franco Mancini 2000.

In the 250 class the winner was Italian Marco Queirolo in front of his compatriots Guido Testoni and Franco Federigi. Guido Testoni (in photo1) is the new European champion of the series in front of Belgian Bernard Depierrieux (in photo2).

In the Supersport class, Francesco Curinga – who had already won the title in the last round, conquered the rankings of the day in front of Fabrizio Lanutti and David Lignite, all from Italy.
In the Superbike class, the new European Champion Stefano Bonetti won in front of Daniele Lombardi and Francesco Maria Piva, for one more fully Italian podium.
In the Supermoto Open Class, which registered the absence of the new European champion Luca Trivella, the winner of the day was Italian Francesco Martinelli in front of Swiss Philippe Bongard and of Fabrizio Ansaldi, from Italy, too.
