The European Trial circus is moving 300 km south from Oslo to Boras in Sweden, town famous for textile industry, not far from Goteborg for the last round of all its championships and cups. It will be again a whole week-end dense of trial. On Saturday in the two laps with 12 sections each the competition consist of, it will be up for grabs the Youth and the Women trophies.
If between the women, British Emma Bristow, Sherco, with the help of her two previous convincing success, would clinch the title with the minimum effort, completely different is the situation in the Youth class, where two riders are sharing the top place in the overall standings: German Franz Kadlec and British Jack Price, both riding Gas Gas. Having each won one event and finished second in the other, we expect a great fight in this ultimate round. But with all eyes on them, riding without pressure could be a point in favor for Italian Gabriele Giarba, Beta, and British Dan Peace, Beta. Both are skilled to climb the rostrum, too.
The day after is still reach of suspense, because it will be assigned three titles. Same formula of two laps, but 3 section more. Local idol Eddie Karlsson, Jtg, has the chance to become European champion in front of his fans. The only one who can still tear off the title from him is Italian Luca Cotone, Gas Gas, but only in case of victory and a placement of Karlsson below the eighth position.
Not so clear the situation in the Junior Cup. British Iwan Roberts, Beta, leads, but his gap on other good skilled rivals is not enough to let him riding in relax. Strong threatens are coming from Finn Timo Myohahnen, Beta ,Italian Gabriele Giarba, Beta and Czech Martin Matejicek, Gas Gas. And not undervalue the two Norwegians who climbed the podium last Sunday: Ivar Norum and Martin K. Karlsen, both on Beta. This class will be for sure the most challenging one.
Dutch John Van Veelen , Ossa, is very near to claim the Cup in the Over 40 class. Only 5 points is what he needs to be champion and with this new score system it means just to finish the competition, considering the low number of participants in this class.
