Extreme Enduro European Cup at Predeal (Romania)

The city of Predeal, in Romania, hosted the second edition of Carpath Enduro, third round of the 2016 Extreme Enduro European Cup organised by the Zen World Extreme moto-club of Romania.

Xavier Leon Sole came to this round tied in points to David Knight (25) but took a big advantage in the standings as David was not present. Even so, it was not an easy weekend for Leon Sole as his compatriot Alfredo Gomez Cantero did not miss the opportunity of participating to the European Cup.
The first day foresaw 80 km mountain track and Xavier Leon Sole made it to the finish 6 minutes ahead of runner-up Alfredo Gomez Cantero, who had to make up the difference in the second day to be able to win the event.
Everybody was impressed by the young Romanian talent Zsolt Varga, who finished on the third step of the podium. There was a big fight for the fourth position between Czech David Cyprian and Romanian champion Ervin Kovacs Zsolt, who finished in this order.
Alfredo Gomez Cantero did not disappoint as in the second day: he arrived to the finish line almost 10 minutes before everybody, thus winning the overall of Carpath Enduro 2016. Xavier Leon Sole consolidated his lead in the general standings as he finished second and gained 22 more vital points for the European Cup this year. David Cyprian imposed himself on the third step of the podium in the second day, finishing in third position also in the overall.
The next and last event of the Extreme Enduro European Cup will be held in Orebro (Sweden) on the 29-30 July.
