European Supermono Cup in Oschersleben (Germany)

Supermono lowThe track of Oschersleben (Germany) hosted last weekend the third of four rounds of the European Supermono Cup.
The event was settled with FIM Endurance and Sidecar World Championships.

During the whole weekend it was very nice weather without clouds and temperature between 25 and 29 degrees.
The Supermono Cup offered two races, as usual, and the winner of both was Austrian rider Lukas Wimmer. In race 1 he finished before Dutch Jerry van de Bunt and Austrian Josef Frauenschuh.
Race 2 was redflagged after lap 1 due to crash of Jerry van de Bunt and Manni Kehrmann, both transported to hospital. Manni Kehrmann broke his collarbone and some ribs, Jerry van de Bunt pinched his wrist and ankle. The race was restarted for 10 laps and the winner was once again Lukas Wimmer, this time in front of Austrian Josef Frauenschuh and German Christian Schmeink.
In this round Lukas Wimmer continued his winning series and with 6 victories out of the first 6 races, in Oschersleben he conquered the European Cup title with one round still to go, in Assen, on 10th and 11th October.
