EMX65 and EMX85 South Western Europe and EMX Open in Brezice (Slovenia)

aboutuemThe third round of the Motocross European Championship 65cc and 85cc South-Western Europe Zone and the third round of the EMX Open Motocross European Championship were held this weekend in Brezice (Slovenia). Practice and Qualifying races were made on Saturday on a well prepared but wet, and heavy track.

Sunday started with Warm up for all three classes in cloudy/sunny weather. The first race in the EMX 85cc class was Italian Gianluca Facchetti (Suzuki) the fastest rider, number two Italian Gabriele Oteri (TM) and on the third place Itallian Andrea Zanotti (KTM). The second race in the EMX 85cc class again was Gianluca Facchetti the fastest rider, on the second place Gabriele Oteri and on the third place French Ludovic Bompar (KTM).

The first race in the EMX 65cc class was the winner Austrian Rene Hofer (KTM), on the second place Italian Alessandro Facca (KTM), and number three Italian Kevin Cristino (KTM). The second race in the EMX 65cc class again was Rene Hofer the fastest rider, and number two was Italian Alessandro Facca (KTM), on the third place came Spanish David Braceras (KTM).

The first race in the EMX Open Class was the local driver Slovenian Klemen Gercar (Honda) the fastest rider number two Latvian Toms Macuks (KTM) and on the third place Russian Aleksandr Bugreev (Yamaha). The second race in the EMX Open Class again was Klemen Gercar the fastest rider on the second place Toms Macuks, and number three Croatian Marko Leljak (KTM).

In the provisional rankings Facca is the leader of the 65cc class with 125 points, Facchetti of the 85cc class with147 points and Macuks of the Open class with 111 points.

Next round of the South-Western leg of the 65cc and 85cc Championship will take place in Brou (France) on the 19th of May. The fourth round of the EMX European Championship is scheduled in Olsztyn (Poland) on the 19th of May.
