EMX65 and 85cc – NW zone and ITP EMX Quad Championship in Randers (Denmark) – Day 2

20150517 135817 webThe 5th NW EMX65/85 round and the third ITP EMX Quad European Championship of the season were held in Randers, between Aarhus and Aalborg in Denmark.     

EMX 85              
In Heat1 the holeshot went to Max Palsson (SWE).  Heat 1 was dominated again by Mikkel Haarup, who won in front of Rick Elzinga. Third place for Anton Nagy (SWE). All 3 were in their top positions from start to finish. Second holeshot for Rick Elzinga, but he only could get the silver place behind the golden boy Mikkel Haarup with a gap of 21 sec. Bronze position for Petr Polak (CZE).

EMX 65            
Holeshot for Jens Walfoort. Also in EMX65 the latest winner Kay Karssemakers from Netherland was in the lead for the whole distance. Constantin Piller, red plate, had some problems and he was only 13th after lap 1, but he managed to come up in 5th position. 2nd postion for the second German, Cato Nickel in front of Dutch Sem de Lange. Second holeshot in EMX65 for Karssemakers. He was in leading position the full time in front of Piller. But the 3rd podium position brought a surprise: it was the first podium in a European Championship for Stefan’s son Liam Everts.

EMX – ITP Quad            
In race 1 the holeshot went to Danish rider Mads Moldrup. The heat was dominated by Mike van Grinsven over the full distance and he won in front of Edgars Mengelis, the red plate owner, who crossed the finish line 17.6 sec after van Grinsven and 52.7 sec in front of Casper Honoré Holm, from Denmark who finished third.         
In race 2 the holeshot went to the Russian rider Daniil Vlasov, who fell back into 8th position at the end.This race was again a demonstration by Marc van Grinsven (1st) and Edgars Mengelis (2nd) over the full distance, Mengelis 7.75 sec behind. In 3rd position again Danish Casper Honoré Holm, who was 1’28’’430 behind the leader! All after these 3 riders all the others have been lapped.
